Queen Andrea…

4 Sep

Hi Again!  Today I am playing along with the Queen for the Day Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers and we are able to pick our own Queen!  Well my first question is…. How many are you allowed to case before you get in trouble?? LOL!  Andrea Ewen is one of my favorite stampers, I always look to her gallery for inspiration!  Here is the card I chose to case:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2008371?&cat=500&ppuser=213728  Here is what I came up with…

This woman is so talented!  When I see her creations my jaw actually drops!  Treat yourself and have a browse through her blog… it’s amazing!  http://www.ewenstyle.com/

Here’s another look…

The sentiment stamp I used is from Inkadinkado – Special Thought for you Mini.  I made the little hat pin and the butterflies I found in the craft section and I couldn’t resist picking them up, they are so cute!  Here’s a closer look….

Thanks Andrea for all the wonderful inspiration I get from your beautiful cards!

I hope you like this one!

I thought of you today….

I love using this sentiment… It’s just nice :)

For this card I used the Martha Stewart Wild Flowers punch around the page punch set.  I also used my EK Dimensional Carnation Punch for the flower.  The embossing folder is by Sizzix – Flowers & Flourish.

This is a really quick and easy card to put together and it is so pretty in yellow!

 Hope you like it!

Featured Stamper….

4 Sep

Hi Again,  Today I am playing along with Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper who is Chris Dickinson!  Here is her lovely card that I picked for inspiration:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1908109?&cat=500&ppuser=8223  Here is what I came up with….

I used the Crafts-Too Blossom Embossing folder (I borrowed this from my sister Joann, it’s SO pretty!)  For the center of the card I used the Joy! Crafts Cutting & Embossing die.  This set has two dies and this is the smaller of the two.

The tag was made with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags die and the stamp is from the $1 bin at Michael’s.

For the butterfly I used the ek success tools layering butterfly punch.  This punch has three settings and each punches out the same size butterfly but with different cut out patterns on them.  The ribbon is from Michaels (It’s my favorite!)

There you have it!  Congrats Chris enjoy your day in the spotlight!

September 2011 Christmas Card Challenge…

4 Sep

Hi All, it’s been several days since I have posted.  I have been lazy this past week, I have made a few cards but haven’t been posting.  I joined the Splitcoast Stampers Christmas card challenge and this is my first two cards I have made for September…

The poinsettia image is a pre colored image I got from Fred She Said.  I am really struggling with getting in the mood to do Christmas cards as it is really not my favorite time of year.  Here’s another view…

I used the Martha Stewart punch around the page loops punch set to make the background mat.

Hope you like them :)

Lisa
