Beautiful Butterfly…

8 Feb

I love this Butterfly die cut I cut during crop night at The Cutting Garden http://www.thecuttinggarden.ca/  .  It is quite big but it makes such a beautiful card, it is definitely on my wish list!!  It is made by Cheery Lynn.

This is a quick post as it is getting late and work comes early!

A friend at work asked me to make a special birthday card for her friend and this is what I came up with.  I’m sure she will like it, she asked for something pretty and pink… In my eyes, that’s the perfect combination!!!  Check out the sparkley Bucklez I picked up from The Cutting Garden… can you believe they are only 6 for $2.00????  I need to pick up some more of these, they are so pretty!!

Have a great night!

Valentine Gift Bags….

8 Feb

One of my friends at work asked me to make three Valentine Gift Bags for her, one each for her daughters and one for her mother…

I went online to see if I could find some templates but unfortunately I can’t follow directions to save my life so I decided to just wing it again and make one out of one of my Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch sets….

I had a piece of scrap Valentine paper from last year and lined the front and back with it after I punched out a panel that measured 5″ x 10.25″ then I scored it to make the fold for the bottom.  It was very simple to make the side panels as well I just cut  and glued them on.

I added some bows and butterflies and made a computer generated sentiment.  I used my cricut to make the rolled flowers and added some liquid pearls as a finishing touch.

Not too bad, it only took me a couple of hours to make these up and I think they turned out pretty well!

Have a great night!

Alphabet Challenge…. Letter E…

8 Feb

I am late entering this challenge… my friends over in the Alphabet Challenge have already started the letter F but I was just too tired to post this last night…

Enjoy Today!  I love the colors used on this card.  I found the ribbon in the $1.oo bin at Michaels and I need to go hunting for it again, it is so pretty and looks so beautiful with pink.  Peeking out behind the flower and pin is a Memory Box Buckles die that I picked up at The Cutting Garden http://www.thecuttinggarden.ca/ .  These are so easy to use and add such a pretty element to creations.

I have been making pins for my cards, every chance I can get, they are so lovely and easy to make!  Thanks for all the prompting Sam!  ;)  Here’s a look at the whole card…

I twisted the ribbon and tucked it under the little flowers for a bit of a different touch.  This is a quick post as I have to get busy and may three Valentine gift bags for a co-worker and because I am taking Friday and Monday off of work, I need to have them done tonight!

Have a nice evening!

Lisa :)
