Memory Box Dies…

31 Mar

I love Memory Box Dies…. they are so beautiful and delicate….

How pretty is that?!?  This one is called LaRue Flourish and the minute I saw it I just knew I had to have it.  I am so lucky to be one of the Ladybugs at The Cutting Garden, I have access to so many lovely toys! :)

I haven’t been posting to my blog as often as I would like to be, my husband hasn’t been well and we have been facing some pretty significant worries lately so my mind has been elsewhere.  Thanks to all my friends for their kind understanding and well wishes, it is truly appreciated!  It is funny how people who are so far away from you, take an interest and notice when things are off.  Thanks very much! :)

I hope everyone has a nice evening and the sentiment on my card says it all! :)

Wishing you Sunshine & Smiles….

28 Mar

Happy Wednesday!  I have a sweet and simple little spring card to share with you tonight.  I created this for the I Spy Challenge that I am hosting this week while Dani takes a break for some family time.  Have a look…

I am playing around with my new dies….  I love this new Memory Box Quinn Flourish die… it is so delicate and pretty!  The Die I used for the design paper is Spellbinders Labels Seventeen.I used a Martha Stewart border punch from a new Punch Around the Page set I picked up from The Cutting Garden, I really love using these punches! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Mother’s Day…

26 Mar

Just a quick post this morning as I have to get myself in gear and get ready for work!  I am such a lazy blog poster, I have been on a bit of a creating roll this weekend but have fallen way behind with posting.

Again this is that Anna Griffin paper that I cut into last week and I am holding myself to my strict rule of using the entire piece of design paper once I cut into it so I can reduce my accumulation of scraps!  So far so good! LOL!!!

I totally love this Martha Stewart border punch, it is actually a Punch Around the Page set and I have been using it often over the last week or so.  I picked up the punch and this fantastic ribbon at The Cutting Garden and Kim has them both in stock! :)

I hope everyone has a great week and thanks for stopping by!!

Live Love Laugh….

25 Mar

This week over at the Alphabet Challenge Diane has us stamping with the letter L.  I have been absent for too long with these challenges, I have been crazy busy but I have found lots of stamping time this weekend so I will be posting for a good part of the day :)  Here’s what I came up for Diane’s challenge….

Usually I am pretty indifferent about most of the cards I make.  Don’t get me wrong, I like them but every once in a while I manage to make something that I really REALLY like!  I am always SO happy when this happens :)  This card is in my REALLY Like category LOL!! I liked it so much I made three versions of it! LOL!!!  I have been trying to use up some of my scraps in the past couple of weeks and this card (other than the base) is made up of scraps so this makes me very happy :)  Here’s a look at the whole card….

Check out that new Martha Stewart border punch!  It’s actually from a Punch Around the Page set!  I picked this up at The Cutting Garden and it is fast becoming my new favorite! :D

Well that’s it for this one ladies!  I hope you have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Easter Wishes….

24 Mar

Here’s another quick and easy Easter card.  I have pretty much let this lovely Anna Griffin paper do all the work on this one! :)  I added a lovely Memory Box Tilth Floral die cut behind the flower.  I am only beginning to play with my lovely new Memory Box dies I recently picked up from The Cutting Garden.

I am settling in for an afternoon of crafting and then my friends are coming over tonight to hang out and we will probably hang out at the dining room table and stamp a bit.   I am finally feeling like I am catching up with posting on my blog this weekend.  Lets see if I can keep up the pace! LOL!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Masculine All Occasion….

24 Mar

Another quick post before I leave to meet my friend.  This is another masculine card that I made and I used the Flourishes A Guiding Light stamp set.

This is a great set to make male greeting cards, it is going to be fantastic for Father’s Day!  Kim has these in stock at The Cutting Garden if this is something you might be looking for :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Another Birthday Card….

24 Mar

Here’s another quick birthday card I created a while back but I am just getting around to posting it now….

The sentiment stamp is by Just Rite and the paper is from my Recollections Garden Floral paper pad.  I am speed posting today and I am meeting a friend in less than an hour and I haven’t even started to get ready! LOL!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

For You…

24 Mar

I have been enjoying some down time and just randomly creating some Mother’s Day cards.  I have been playing with the Just Rite Zinnia’s stamp set but I can’t seem to focus on just one thing these days! LOL!!! Here’s a pretty mother’s day card that I would like to share with you today….

I love pink and brown together I tend to go with this color combo often.  I found this paper at The Cutting Garden’s yard sale and Deborah was so kind to let me have it!  It is SO beautiful…. It is by Anna Griffin and let me tell you, I found it very difficult to cut into, I just wanted to tuck it away and hoard it! LOL!!   Here is a look at the whole card…

The doily die is by Cheery Lynn and Kim stocks these dies regularly in her store :)

I hope everyone have a fantastic weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Masculine Birthday Wishes….

23 Mar

Check out what I scored at Deborah’s yard sale at The Cutting Garden!….

I have no idea what company this beautiful ship stamp is made from but the side of the stamp says G-3004 Santa Rosa, CA @ 1999 PSX.  This is the first time I have stamped it and I have to say, I am totally in love with it!  Thanks for parting with this beauty Deborah! :D  This stamp will be well loved :)  I had a Skype session with my friend Bill this morning and he helped me design this card….  I really struggle with masculine cards so this was quite an accomplishment for me!  Thanks Bill! :)

Look Sue!!! Not a hint of pink on this one! LOL!!!  I liked this card so much I made three of them!  I have a feeling I will be pulling out this stamp again for some father’s day cards!  The paper I used is from my My Mind’s Eye paper pad and I used Tim Holtz  Tea Dye distressed ink to shade the edges of the papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Memory Book….

19 Mar

I have been working on this project for about a week and I have to say, I have really enjoyed it!!! A friend at work is retiring and I was asked to create something for her, so I decided to do a memory book.  This is my very first attempt at a project like this.

All the paper contained in this book was from my My Mind’s Eye – Lost & Found paper pad.  On the inside I used several border punches as well as die cuts from Memory Box.  The book is full of well wishes from co-workers as well as some pictures.

I actually used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks on every page! LOL!!!  Mel, my friend from The Cutting Garden helped me with this project because I truly didn’t have a clue where to begin! LOL!!! THANKS MEL!!!! :D

Now that I have this one finished I just can not wait to start another one! LOL!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
