Beautiful U….

20 Apr

The stamp set I used for these cards is by My Mind’s Eye…. I absolutely LOVE their unique papers and stamp sets.  Kim stocks them at The Cutting Garden and I grabbed them as soon as I laid eyes on them!

The paper is called French Kiss and I am sticking to my rule of using up the entire sheet of paper once I have cut into it.  Did I mention that I love this stamp???? LOL!!!

Here is another Beautiful stamp set by Flourishes!!!!

I am entering these cards in this weeks Flourishes weekly challenge, Amanda is challenging us to use our favorite Flourishes stamp.  Now It is really hard for me to pick a favorite, but is definitely at the top of my list!

I love black and white cards, there’s something about this look…  I absolutely love the layout of this card, the profile of it is envelope ready all you need is one stamp!  lovely!

I really like to finish off the inside of my cards with a bit of the patterned paper, it adds a very nice touch don’t you think?

Flourishes – Butterflies and Blossoms….

20 Apr

Flourishes makes the most beautiful stamps!!!  This is one of the beautiful Flourishes stamp sets that Kim has in stock at The Cutting Garden…

There is SO much you can create with this set!  I sat down this morning with my coffee and here’s what I came up with….

I am starting to think I am developing a split personality! LOL!!  I am bouncing all over the place with my style these days.  I can’t decide if I want to go clean and simple, vintage/shabby or soft pastel style.  *shrug*  oh well, there are worse afflictions! LOL!!!

Okay now someone ask me where I got that brass colored brad in the corner?????  LOL!!! Staples!  It is a 1 inch brass finish fastener!  Did you know that you can press the head of these fasteners into your versamark pad and then dip it in any colored embossing powder and heat emboss them?  This way you can match your brads to any color you want!  Fun huh?  Here’s a peek at the inside of the card….

When I was at The Cutting Garden yesterday, our friend Debbie came in to shop and she eyed this beautiful paper that Kim is stocking called French Kiss.  She totally had me talked into buying a couple pieces and I am very glad I did!  Thanks Debbie!  Check out Debbie’s beautiful creations on her blog – Scraps From A Broad.  I love LOVE the name of her blog! LOL!!!

Supplies used for this card….

Spellbinders – Labels Nine

Flourishes – Butterflies and Blossoms

Martha Stewart Border Punch (part of a punch around the page set)

Ribbon

1 Inch Brass Finish paper fastener

Tim Holtz tea dye distressed ink

Tim Holtz distressing tool

Sweet & Simple….

20 Apr

It is amazing what you can do with the simplest little stamps…

This is one of the first stamps I ever bought, I found it in the $1.50 bin at Michaels and up until now I have only used the sentiment.  Now that I have discovered Color Box ink the little flower is perfect to use on simple note cards.  I bought the color box ink at The Cutting Garden and the colors are so rich and you get full coverage.  Love It!

Too Easy!!

Supplies used for these cards:

Recollections – Garden Floral paper pad

Studio G Clear Stamp

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Martha Stewart Scoring Board

Color Box Dark Cherry Inkpad
