My Minds Eye put out the most beautiful paper last year… My favorite is the Lost & Found Blush paper line. *sigh* I have been hoarding it not wanting to use it because I knew I wouldn’t be able to buy anymore of it. Kim has it in stock at The Cutting Garden and I know it’s just not going to last! Oh Well…. I’m sure they will come up with something equally beautiful this year and I just CAN NOT WAIT!!!
One of my lovely co-workers, Wanda, asked me to make an extra special book for a family member who is seriously ill and her story simply broke my heart. I couldn’t think of a better reason to break out my favorite paper and create something lovely for such a remarkable young woman….
Wanda asked that I leave loads of room for this lovely young girl to journal her life so I made it keeping this in mind, allowing lots of spaces for her to add pictures and to journal….
So this is the book I created for Wanda to give to her family member. I have made loads of generic cards and books but this one is truly made from the heart… I am so pleased to make something that will mean so much to someone. Wanda told me that this young lady would like to journal her life and I hope she thinks this book will be special enough for her.
It is very very rewarding to hand make something that is meaningful and useful.

My card making mojo is on vacation, all I seem to want to create these days are books! LOL! I’ve been working on a Christmas book and I am hoping to be able to get all the pictures taken and ready to share with you tonight but in the mean time I have two simple cards to show you. To be honest… I don’t like how they turned out at all and I will probably pull the flowers and buckle off of them and trash them but oh well, you can’t win them all huh?

Happy Sunday to you all! I am having a great weekend! I spent all day yesterday at The Cutting Garden doing a Christmas in July Stamp a Stack and we all had a blast! This morning I work up really early (too early – 5:30 am! what is wrong with me??? LOL!!) and decided to get in a bit of time in my craft room. This is what I came up with…
Why do I reach for pink first every time? LOL!! Oh well, I am going to be spending the day doing a few chores around the house and maybe some weeding in my garden. It’s still pretty early so I think I can justify squeezing a little more crafty time in before I have to get busy.

This week over at the Mix It Up Challenge on SplitCoast Stampers the lovely Dani has challenged us to make a project using Pins and Music…. Well Pins and Flowers are MUSIC to my ears!!! (Yup I forgot the music part but oh well! ;D
Here is what I came up with using the the fun new flowers and Ribbon I bought at The Cutting Garden on my way home from work tonight….
Pretty huh? That punch is by Martha! It’s the Caning Pattern Punch all over the page that my lovely Tony bought for me while we were on vacation! Oh yes… The butterflies are also courtesy of Martha and Kim at The Cutting Garden as well!
Well it has been a productive night for me…. I got my Stamp A Stack prep all done for tomorrow as well as my Mix It Up Challenge entry done on time for once! It’s a good good evening in my books!

Yes it’s true… I’m all about ribbons and flowers and this is my ultimate all time favorite ribbon! (shhhh I bought five rolls!) LOL!!!

I bought this stamp set ages ago and I actually forgot that I had it. While I was on vacation last week I tried to pull out some of my older stamps to play with. I have made this card before but I thought it was so cute I just had go ink it up again…
How cute is that right? This is a Darcie’s Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set and it comes with three sweet sentiments. I thought this would be a sweet card for a couple’s first home.

This is a rather long but quick post for me as I am getting ready for work. So far it’s been a pretty busy week for me but I managed to get some crafty time in in the evenings 
Lately I have been really enjoying making memory books and I managed to get two of these finished up….
I had to make two of these because I always take what I create into work and someone usually snatches it up, but I liked this one so much I wanted to make sure I had another to keep home for inspiration for when I want to create another one. Here are pictures of all the pages of this book….
As you can see there are loads of places to journal and insert pictures. The majority of the supplies that I used to make this book came from The Cutting Garden. I think the spellbinders rolled flowers on the front cover are my favorite part of the whole book. This was such a fun project to make, it was a lot of work but I really enjoyed making it!
