Sorry I am late Sharon….

27 Apr

Good Afternoon Everyone!  I was supposed to be reorganizing my craft room last night and today but my new desk is not going to be arriving until Monday so that means I have the weekend to play in my craft room before I start tearing it apart!  I need to apologize to Sharon for my late post today, I usually post in the mornings but on the weekends I am very slack with posting I am afraid.  Better late than never???

Today I am playing along with the My Mind’s Eye April Sketch Challenge.  This is a very new thing for me because it is a Scrapbook Layout Sketch!  YIKES!  I don’t know anything about Scrap booking so I am really hoping that I will get away with just thinking of it as a really big card.  This is only my second attempt at a layout, my first ended up too bumpy so I had to keep that in mind while creating this…

Here is the Sketch….

MME April SketchAnd here is what I came up with….

MME 001As you all are probably aware… My Mind’s Eye Paper and Stamps are my #1 favorite.  I am always asking Kim at The Cutting Garden to bring in more of their products and she always happily gets me what I want.  They have come out with a new line of stamps and I snagged one of them this week and spent last night making a bunch of cards with it.  You will see loads of creations with my new stamp set in upcoming posts.  Anyway… back to my layout.

MME 002This is my lovely girl Lacy… she is 4 and is a Blue Merle Sheltie :)  I used My Mind’s Eye paper some Lost & Found 2 and Lost & Found 3 to create this layout.

MME 003I don’t like how my journaling turned out so I am going to have to work on that, but I am overall pretty happy with how this project turned out.

I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for stopping by!

JustRite Challenge – “Charm Me”

12 Sep

Good Morning Blog Friends…

I hope everyone is having a great week, it’s Wednesday already and I am up WAY too early this morning.  I truly love my pets but some nights they just do not cooperate with you and have you up several times *sigh*  We gave up at 4:30 and I decided to make coffee and start my day.

Last week I entered into the JustRite challenge and I won!  I was totally excited and this week’s challenge has been calling to me so I just had to enter again.  Here is my entry for the Just Rite “Charm Me” challenge….

This is one of my ‘go to’ stamp sets… I use it often, it is called Kindness.  I added a little key charm like we were asked for for the challenge.  I picked this stamp set up at The Cutting Garden a while back and it continues to be one of my favorites.

Now I am off to get ready for work!  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Three Cheers for Cheery Lynn Designs!!!

9 Aug

Good Afternoon Blog Friends!!!

I love this delayed post option on my blog…. I am hard at work while this is being posted… Being able to set up posts in advance is right up my alley!  Some evenings when I get home from work I am just too tired to log on and start snapping pictures and developing a blog post.  Using the delayed posting option lets me get ahead so that if I decide to have a lazy evening on the sofa watching a move I can still make sure that I have something fun to share with you each day.  Cool huh?

Okay, enough gabbing from me….  As I announced yesterday Cheery Lynn Designs is coming to The Cutting Garden on August 25th to do a demo day for us and I am creating like mad in their honor…. or for their horror! LOL!!! oh well either works, I love my Cheery Lynn Dies and I am having a ton of fun playing with them this week!   Here’s a peek at what I have created….

For this card I used Three Cheery Lynn Dies…  (that’s where the Three Cheers for Cheery Lynn came from)  *roll eyes*  Here is a list of the dies I used….

~ Cheery Lynn-Doily Die-Small Lace Faerie Queen

~ Fanciful Flourish

~ Daisy Lace Frame

And to top all that goodness off, I added some beautiful ribbon I scored at The Cutting Garden.  I put a layer of Vellum over the Frame die cut to soften it up.

I hope what I have created today has inspired you to bring out your crafty supplies and create something beautiful.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Mix It Up…..

20 Jul

Good Evening Blog Friends!

This week over at the Mix It Up Challenge on SplitCoast Stampers the lovely Dani has challenged us to make a project using Pins and Music….  Well Pins and Flowers are MUSIC to my ears!!!  (Yup I forgot the music part but oh well! ;D

Here is what I came up with using the the fun new flowers and Ribbon I bought at The Cutting Garden on my way home from work tonight….

Pretty huh?  That punch is by Martha!  It’s the Caning Pattern Punch all over the page that my lovely Tony bought for me while we were on vacation!  Oh yes… The butterflies are also courtesy of Martha and Kim at The Cutting Garden as well!

Well it has been a productive night for me…. I got my Stamp A Stack prep all done for tomorrow as well as my Mix It Up Challenge entry done on time for once!  It’s a good good evening in my books!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Mix It Up….

12 Jul

Over at the Mix It Up Challenge on SplitCoast our lovely Ms. Lynn has challenged us to use flowers on our cards.  Yea… that’s what I said… “challenged us”  LOL!!!  I am really trying to remember the last time I DIDN’T use a flower!  Anyway… this was an easy one for me and if I would have thought about it… I could have posted my last 2 or 3 cards for her challenge!  Oh well.. Ms. Lynn.. this one’s for you!…

Sweet and Simple!  This was a super quick card to put together and I am really happy with how it turned out.

Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by!

Alphabet Challenge….

12 Jul

Its been ages since I have found the time to play along with the SplitCoast Alphabet Challenge.  I’m on vacation this week and have had loads of time to sort and organize my craft room and actually get some creating done!  This week we are challenged with the letter B.  Here’s what I came up with…. As you can see I used Black, Butterflies, Bling and Birthday so this card should get a pass I would think!

I hope you are all having a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Laughter is the best medicine….

31 May

Hello again blog friends….. I got some very good advice yesterday…  I was told to just simply relax and laugh a little :)  I’ve been having a bit of a pitty party lately… and it’s time to call an end to it so I have decided to take this advice literally.  These silly cards are SURE to give you a laugh! ….LOL!  Now come on!  That is such a funny sentiment!!  Kim from The Cutting Garden sent me home with three stamp sets from Stampalicious! to play with and it certainly cheered me up making these fun cards!

Honestly….. were truer words ever spoken???  ;)

This one is the definition of Mantastic! *roll eyes*  These stamp sets are so fun and I am so excited that Kim has decided to stock them at The Garden!

Over in Diane’s alphabet challenge I have been totally MIA and I am entering all three of these cards for her challenge this week, I believe she is on the letter V so I think these will pass as VERY Funny :)  Hope she approves!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Memory Box Dies….

2 May

I really love these Memory Box Dies….  This is such a simple little die called Sprig but I think it just looks stunning on this card!  I picked up this lovely die at The Cutting garden…  Check it out….

This week over at the Mix It Up Challenge Lauren has asked us to bring out our flowers and create!  This is my second entry for this week :)  Here’s a look at the whole card….

I am really pleased with how this one turned out!  Hopefully my Mojo will stick around for a little while! LOL!!

Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!

Clean & Simple…

16 Apr

Happy Monday to everyone!  The weekend is over and it’s back to work for me today.  I thought I would take a minute this morning while sipping my coffee to share a card that I made over the weekend.  I have a box full of cards all waiting to be posted and as usual, this box is getting over filled and I need to get them photographed!  Have a look at this one… Kim from The Cutting Garden was kind enough to lend me her beautiful Stampin’ Up Hello Doily stamp.  I absolutely LOVE it!  :D  After seeing how well this card turned out I am just going to HAVE to get it for myself!  I find that my style of card making is changing drastically, I am veering more towards clean and simple cards regularly now although I still love the bumpy busy style also!  Look at that beautiful gem in the center… My lovely friend Lauren from Australia sent a package of these to me and up until now, I couldn’t bear to use them they were so pretty and I just wanted to hoard them! LOL!!!  Pop over to Lauren’s blog and say hello!  She has some fantastic pic’s of her beautiful stamping space posted!

Here’s  a look at the whole card…

I am hosting this week’s Mix It Up challenge and I really struggled with coming up with something creative for the challenge so I asked everyone to use border punches on their projects.  This border punch is by Recollections and it one of my newer additions to my fast growing collection.  I love LOVE punches!

Anyway… time for me to hit the shower and get ready for work!  I hope everyone has a fantastic week!!!
