Oh Martha!…

16 May

Good Morning!  This is going to be a really quick post as I am running late this morning.  You all know that Martha Stewart Punches are my all time favorite.  I love them all and the Punch All Over the Page punches, although sometimes a bit difficult to use, are favorites of mine as well.  They help you create quick and easy cards with very minimal effort.

Post7On of the girls at work is always asking me to make purple cards for her but I find finding decent purple design paper very difficult!  Anyway… I managed to find a piece and this is what I came up with using the crochet flower pattern punch all over the page punch.  This card was put together in minutes and no matter what paper you use, the cards always turn out lovely.  I am off to get ready for work!

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet and Simple…

26 Apr

Good Morning and Happy Friday!  I can’t even tell you how happy I am it’s finally Friday!  I have a very relaxing weekend planned, lots of crafty time and some of my regular chores around the house and a few walks for the dogs.  That’s It!  I am planning on doing a small re-org of my craft room tonight… I am hoping it’s small LOL!  I don’t want to tear my room apart because I want it to be in some sort of working order so I can play this weekend.

I have a card to share with you this morning that I made a while back….

You mean the world to meThe background frame die is by Cheery Lynn and it is called France Lattice Small Frame.  It is the perfect size for a regular A2 card and it cuts beautifully in my Bigshot.  I paired it with the JustRite Kindness stamp set and used white and black heat embossing.  This is a very simple card but it looks very elegant.

This is just a short post and I need to get my act in gear and get ready to start my day.

I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by!

We’ve made it to Thursday!

25 Apr

Good Morning Crafty Friends,  I am posting a bit late this morning.  I have an appointment at the hospital so I had a few extra minutes to pull myself together before I head out.  I made this card/tag for a friend at work who had a birthday yesterday….

Birthday1This one has all my favorite things.  My Mind’s Eye paper, butterflies and hand made flowers.  I also really like to do a bit of sewing on my cards, it’s the little things that make the card I think :)  I used my little rolled flower dies and scalloped circle punches to make the flowers.  Here’s a peek at the inside….

Birthday2So Pretty!  I really like how this one turned out and Joy loved it so that’s what is important :)

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Peony…

21 Apr

Good Morning!  I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  I’ve had a busy weekend as usual but I managed to get some crafty time in this morning….

Peony 001I made these quick little cards this morning while I was sipping my coffee.  What do you think of the beautiful Peony die?  Amazing huh?  I made these flowers using the Memory Box Lovely Peony Outline and Lovely Peony Background dies Kim has in stock at The Cutting Garden.  I used the Martha Stewart Fans and Flourishes deep edge border punch that Kim is also stocking at the moment.  I bought this punch a couple of months ago and I have to say, I have used it dozens of times and this punch is perfect for cutting a 2.5 inch strip and punching on either side to make this perfect looking trellis.  It adds a lovely elegant touch to cards.

Now to clean up the mess I made in my craft room this morning!  Have a great day!!

Butterflies….

18 Apr

Hi Again!  Another quick post before I start my work day.  I found this sweet free butterfly image on pinterest and couldn’t resist printing it off a couple of times and creating with it….

Butterfly1I was helping a friend (Shelly) out on skype the other night because she was having difficulty with her new Punch Around the Page set of punches and that inspired me to pull out a set of mine and get punching!  This one has loads of layers just the way I like it :)

Butterfly2I thought this image would be lovely as a tag for a thank you gift as well.

Okay… Now to start my day!  Have a good one!!

Back to my normal style…

9 Apr

Good Morning!

I know I am not finished with those card/tag creations I have been making but I managed to get back to my normal style last weekend and made a card using all my favorite things….. Pink, die cuts, butterflies, flowers… you know… the stuff that just makes me happy….

Post7I decided to make a shaped card this time because it has been forever since I did this.  I dug through my die storage bin to find some rolled flower dies, I believe these flowers are by My Favorite Things, sorry I got rid of the packaging and now I am regretting doing this.  Pretty much everything I used for this card was purchased from the cutting garden and Kim is fantastic at sourcing out specific things we want.  The butterfly die is called Les Papillions by Spellbinders.

Post8I used the JustRite Clear Botanical Butterflies stamp set and heat embossed the background butterfly stamp for behind the die cut butterfly just to give it a bit more interest.  I added a few extra pretty flowers that I had in my stash and topped it off with a pretty hand made pin.  I made a custom envelope to go with this card and also stamped and heat embossed the front and back flap.

I am off to work again today, I hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing for Spring….

13 Mar

Good Morning!  I hate this time of year, everything looks so drab and dirty!  We still have dirty snow banks hanging around and there is not a bit of green in sight!  We are supposed to get a lot of rain today and tonight so I am hopeful it will help with washing away the lingering snow and hopefully the temperatures will continue to rise.

I have a pretty spring inspired card to share with you today using yellow.  I rarely use yellow…

Post3This is just a clean and simple card, well as clean and simple as I can manage LOL!  I punched out a couple of white daisy’s and folded them in half, very very easy.  This one looks quite cheerful to me.

I hope you all have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!!

Revisiting some old friends…

2 Mar

Good Morning!  Happy Saturday to you all!

Wow am I glad last week is finally over!  It was a busy one for me at work… so much happening!  But now it’s the weekend and I get to relax and do what ever I want to finally!  I was so excited to start my weekend I actually woke up at 5:30 am and came downstairs to my craft room with my nice fresh cup of coffee to sit, relax and catch up on all the things I have missed on Pintrest.  Yes!  I am so addicted to Pintrest!! LOL!!

I have been thinking a lot this week about what I can come up with for Easter cards and it dawned on me last night that I could just revisit and revise some of my old favorites!  These two cards I am about to post, I made quite a while ago and I have kept them in my stash because I really wanted to make them again.  The are definitely two of my favorite cards…

Post 1Post 2I think these could easily be made into lovely easter cards don’t you think?  I think I will get to work on making some variations of these this weekend.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Starting the year off right!

2 Jan

Good Morning!  Today is my first day back to work after being off for over a week during the Christmas Holidays.  I love my time off but I also love the routine of my work schedule as well.  I have been very well behaved the past couple of days and have myself well organized and ready to dig back in and focus on work as well as my blog!

I am not a religious sort, I appreciate those who enjoy their faith in such things, but I just strive to be who I am, and I want to just try to be true to myself.  I have decided to make a few domestic New Year Resolutions though!….

1.  Put the darn laundry away as SOON as it is dried and folded!

2.  Clean the darn fridge before I have to worry about scientists popping by and asking for samples!

3.  Tuesday is toe nail Tuesday for my doggies!  They hate having their nails done and I usually feel bad for them and say “oh okay babies, next week.  No more being soft with Sasha and Lacy!

4.  Get back to regular posting on my blog!  I have been so SLACK with this, this month!  No More!

It’s really not all that bad… I don’t have much to complain about in my life huh? LOL!   I just need to spend a bit more time being organized and I am going to give it a shot!

Okay enough gabbing….

Ms. Lauren and I are still tag teaming! YaY!  This is SO FUN!  Pop on over to her lovely blog and she what new beautiful creation she has made to give us some inspiration!

Here is a card that I made using a lovely stamp that Lauren sent to me for Christmas!!!

Birthday Wishes

This was a complete surprise because she didn’t know that Azalea’s are one of my favorite flowers!  I am not totally in love with this card but it got Lauren’s seal of approval so how can I argue with THAT?

I hope you all have a great day and thanks so much to stopping by and sticking with my through my lazy December blogging!

Warmest Birthday Wishes…

30 Nov

Good Morning!  It feels like forever since I have made a blog post!  Its been another busy week for me, both at work and at home.  My husband is still not feeling well and my son also had a major mishap that required some time in the ER so, yet again, not crafty time for me.  Tonight I am off to my work Christmas party for a little while, so that will be fun :)

I have a clean and simple card to share with you this morning…

Warmest Wishes 1

And Now I notice that Word Press has made some changes to the formatting of blog posts.  Hmmmm… I really do not have time this morning to figure this out! LOL!!!

This post is going to look a little wonky I am afraid but that can’t be helped.  Please bear with me while I figure out the new changes! LOL!

Warmest Wishes 2
