Hero Arts Sizzix

7 May

Good Morning!  I have another quick card to share with you before I head off to get ready for work.  This time I am using the Hero Arts Sizzix Stamp & Die-cut set I picked up a while back from The Cutting Garden…

Post10I like the bold colors on this card.  Cutting the panel in three equal pieces gives the card extra interest.  I am also pleased that this card is low profile and mail friendly.  I have a very busy week ahead of me, starting Wednesday at noon I am in all day meetings that will take me into quite late in the evenings so I am not sure if I will be posting every morning but I will try :)  Today the temperature is supposed to be lovely and warm, yesterday the sun was glorious and it is making me look forward to doing some work in my garden.  This year I plan to plant Sunflowers and I am really hoping that I will be successful with them.  I planted them the first year we owned our house and they were spectacular!

Okay, so I am off to start my day!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Sweet and Simple…

26 Apr

Good Morning and Happy Friday!  I can’t even tell you how happy I am it’s finally Friday!  I have a very relaxing weekend planned, lots of crafty time and some of my regular chores around the house and a few walks for the dogs.  That’s It!  I am planning on doing a small re-org of my craft room tonight… I am hoping it’s small LOL!  I don’t want to tear my room apart because I want it to be in some sort of working order so I can play this weekend.

I have a card to share with you this morning that I made a while back….

You mean the world to meThe background frame die is by Cheery Lynn and it is called France Lattice Small Frame.  It is the perfect size for a regular A2 card and it cuts beautifully in my Bigshot.  I paired it with the JustRite Kindness stamp set and used white and black heat embossing.  This is a very simple card but it looks very elegant.

This is just a short post and I need to get my act in gear and get ready to start my day.

I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Butterflies….

18 Apr

Hi Again!  Another quick post before I start my work day.  I found this sweet free butterfly image on pinterest and couldn’t resist printing it off a couple of times and creating with it….

Butterfly1I was helping a friend (Shelly) out on skype the other night because she was having difficulty with her new Punch Around the Page set of punches and that inspired me to pull out a set of mine and get punching!  This one has loads of layers just the way I like it :)

Butterfly2I thought this image would be lovely as a tag for a thank you gift as well.

Okay… Now to start my day!  Have a good one!!

Easel Card

9 Oct

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I spent the weekend home with my family relaxing and playing around in my craft room.  I have been getting a little tired of doing regular cards lately so I thought I would change things up and have a go at some fancy folds…

I love this dress form stamp by My Minds Eye…. I use it often.   I am also enjoying making my own flowers lately… It is really helping me with using up my scrap pieces of paper.  Well I don’t have a lot to say but I do have a ton of projects to get pictures taken of so that I can share them with you throughout the week.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Be Happy…..

Good Afternoon Blog Friends and Happy Thanksgiving!!

I had such high hopes for this weekend, I really wanted to get some crafty time in since I will be having a four day weekend but my mojo just wasn’t cooperating with me at all!  Until last night that is!  I have a very fun and VERY late evening Skyping with my lovely friend Lauren… OMG!  Until 2 am!  LOL!  Anyway, thank goodness for her, she found my mojo for me!!!  I don’t think there is a technique out there that she doesn’t know!  WoW!  You can find Lauren’s blog HERE, she has loads of wonderful tutorials and projects to share so pay her a little visit, you will be glad you did!!  Anyway, while chatting with her I was able to create like crazy!  Here’s one of the projects I made….

A long while back I bought a fantastic stamp set from The Cutting Garden called Pink Paislee called Spring Jubilee.  This is such a pretty set of stamps and it was perfect for me to make something with a bit of a vintage feel to it.

I want to throw out a big Thank You!  to my friend Lynn who sent me the beautiful ivory lace that I used on the inside tag.  Lynn sent me several types of lace and some beautiful lace flowers that you will be seeing on a upcoming post.  Her flowers were prefect for a project I was working on this morning.  Thanks again Lynn!!!!  Here’s a look at the inside tag…

The sentiment I used for the inside is by Hampton Art.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Good Morning Blog Friends,  It’s Wednesday already!  I am feeling a bit under the weather today but I wanted to pop on and share another pretty set of cards that I have made.  This time I used some Cheery Lynn Dies, Memory Box Butterfly die, some Stampin Up butterflies a friend sent to me and one of my flower punches….

LOL!!!  Well I am off to see if a hot shower will make me feel better so I can get my day started!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!!
