Butterflies….

Hi Again!  Another quick post before I start my work day.  I found this sweet free butterfly image on pinterest and couldn’t resist printing it off a couple of times and creating with it….

I was helping a friend (Shelly) out on skype the other night because she was having difficulty with her new Punch Around the Page set of punches and that inspired me to pull out a set of mine and get punching!  This one has loads of layers just the way I like it

I thought this image would be lovely as a tag for a thank you gift as well.

Okay… Now to start my day!  Have a good one!!

Happy Thursday Everyone!  Friday is almost here thank goodness!  This has been a long week!  I needed some thank you cards for my stash so I whipped up a couple last weekend but I haven’t had a chance to post them until now….

I am going to have to go on another hunt for beads for my pins, my collection is getting low and I think they make such a pretty addition to the cards.  Today is another work day for me so I am off to get ready!

One of my nicest thoughts…

Good Morning!  Today is another busy day for me, I am off to work shortly and I thought I would do a quick post before I head out.  Today is the day of our staff BBQ and I have been shopping like mad this week to get ready.  We will be cooking for 200+ people so we really have to be organized!

Okay enough gab… here’s the card I have to share with you today….

This is a gate fold card and I used one of my favorite sentiments, it always makes me smile.

Well I’m off to pick up 250 hamburgers and veggie burgers!  My car is loaded to the roof! LOL!!

Butterflies & Flowers…

Good Morning Blog Friends,  It’s Wednesday already!  I am feeling a bit under the weather today but I wanted to pop on and share another pretty set of cards that I have made.  This time I used some Cheery Lynn Dies, Memory Box Butterfly die, some Stampin Up butterflies a friend sent to me and one of my flower punches….

Check out that pretty purple ribbon that Kim stocks at The Cutting Garden!  I love the stuff!  I am so addicted to ribbon and bow making, I have a couple of drawers FULL of the stuff and I just can’t wait until Kim gets more in! LOL!!!  Well I am off to see if a hot shower will make me feel better so I can get my day started!

Flourishes – Hydrangea

I have been busy stamping this evening with the Flourishes Hydrangea Stamp set I got a while back at The Cutting Garden.  I used my Versamark and heat embossed it in white and then used Tim Holtz distressed inks to ink over and around the embossed flowers.  I liked how this turned out so much, I just had to make a second in blue! I think I am going to have to give these a try in a bunch more colors…. especially the new summer colors that just came out!

LOVE IT!!

Stampers Best…

Good Morning all and Happy Friday!  Today is my last day of work and then I am off for a week on Vacation!  I have some new stamps to play with while I am on vacation and this dress form by Stampers Best is one of them!

I am not overly thrilled over this card but I thought I would share it with you anyway.  *shrug* It’s not totally terrible, just doesn’t seem right to me so I need to go back to the drawing board with this stamp and have another go at it I think  I have a few more stamps from this company to play with and a couple of them are masculine so I will be making some new masculine inspiration for you shortly!  If you are interested, make sure you pop by and have a look!

Butterfly Note Cards….

Good Morning Blog Friends,  My husband has done it again!  He made me this fantastic new butterfly die cut….

Behind the top paper butterfly is a lovely die cut from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Twisted Metal Tags and Accents I picked up from The Cutting Garden.   Here is a look at the whole card…

These were so much fun to put together, I thought I would try another set using different paper….

This time I used a pretty glittery butterfly for the center using a Martha Stewart punch all over the page punch I borrowed from my friend Carol.

These would make great gift tags but fit into a regular size envelope and could be given as a card on their own.

Good Afternoon Blog Friends….

I have a new fun gift card project to share with you.  Bear with me this is going to be a rather long post….All the design paper used for this project is by My Minds Eye which is one of my ALL time favorites!  The beautiful butterfly is by Hero Arts and it is a stamp and die cut set that Kim is now stocking at The Cutting Garden.

The rolled flower is the oh so popular die by Die-namics Royal Rolled Rose.

This is quite a bulky project so I thought it would be nice to design an envelope/card box for it to fit in….

I absolutely loved making this project and will be happy to teach it to anyone interested at The Cutting Garden!

More Hello Doily Fun with Lauren….

Good Evening All….

My Lovely friend Lauren from Laurenscraft and I are in the middle of a fun challenge with each other.  We are playing with our Hello Doily stamps and trying to create to inspire each other!  How fun is that?  I have created this little project as a ‘Backatcha’ Lauren!!! *wag tongue* ….  Check this one out…

I heat embossed the lovely Hello Doily stamp on to recollections pink card stock with Martha Stewart Bright White and then used the Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink that I snagged at The Cutting Garden to ink around the edges to give it dimension, what a beautiful effect!  I hope my picture does it justice!!

I was really pleased with this card but found it to be a bit bumpy and could see that it would be difficult to find an envelope for it as the card measures approx. 5 x 5 so I went ahead and created an envelope that would allow for an embellished card (bumpy and hard to mail) to match!…. have a look at this….

I used my Martha Stewart scoring board to design this envelope to be thick enough to accommodate the pin and raised bow that I used to embellish my card.  I decided to add the finishing touch and heat emboss the beautiful flower on to th envelope.

I like to call this taking doily’s to the next level! …  I used the Stampin’ Up Hello Doily stamp and topped it off by using the Martha Stewart Vintage Doily Punch Around the Page punch set I picked up at The Cutting Garden.

Memory Box Dies….

I really love these Memory Box Dies….  This is such a simple little die called Sprig but I think it just looks stunning on this card!  I picked up this lovely die at The Cutting garden…  Check it out….

This week over at the Mix It Up Challenge Lauren has asked us to bring out our flowers and create!  This is my second entry for this week  Here’s a look at the whole card….

I am really pleased with how this one turned out!  Hopefully my Mojo will stick around for a little while! LOL!!
