Merry Christmas….

16 Dec

Good Evening!  It has been a crazy busy weekend for me, shopping shopping!  Yes, it is a bit last minute for Christmas shopping but I just really couldn’t get into the Christmas mode until now.  I really haven’t done many Christmas cards this year either, which is quite shocking!  My friend Carol came over to craft with me last night and I pulled this Pintrest inspired card together and I love the simplicity of it…

Very simple but quite pretty!!

I hope you all have had a great weekend and I truly hope you are all further ahead with your Christmas preparations than I am!!

Christmas Treat Holders….

7 Dec

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today is my day off from work and I have spent some much needed relaxing time in my craft room trying to get my mojo flowing.  It’s been like pulling teeth! LOL!  I decided to make some little gifts for friends and Co-Workers.  These are simple little candy/treat holders that I put together using some design paper that I really didn’t care for, but I thought I could dress it up to make it look nice…

Treat Holders 1I thought I would put some little chocolates like Hershey’s kisses in them.  They are really quite cute and would be perfect as a little gift or stocking stuffer.

Treat Holders 2Now all I have to do is head out to pick up some candy!

I hope you all are having a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Merriest Wishes…

20 Nov

Good Morning!  I haven’t been doing much crafting lately… I have been busy with other things but I am sure I will get back to it soon enough.  I have a Christmas card to share with you this morning.  It is simple but quite pretty and another easy to mail pintrest inspired creation….

I love the deep red and bright white together, it looks very pretty and I am afraid the picture doesn’t do it justice.  Oh well  :)

This is a quick post as I am off to work again today!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas….

17 Nov

Good Morning!  I have another Christmas card to share with you this morning.  This one was really easy to put together and it turned out so nice!  I used bright white embossing power and heat set the snowflakes onto white card stock to my my own design paper.  I used faded jeans distress ink over the whole front panel and then stamped the flourish from the Elements of Style stamp set. I love how these turned out, I also love making fancy fold cards :)

For some reason, when I think about making Christmas cards… I mostly want to do blue ones?  I really need to work on some other colors as well.  Oh well, I’m sure I will figure out something to do with red and green.

Tonight is going to be a fun night at The Cutting Garden… It’s shop and crop night so I get to hang out with all the crafty ladies and rubberneck on what they are creating!  Gotta Love It!!! :D

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas…

16 Nov

Hello Again, Yes this is my second post of the day.  In truth, I have a line up of about 20 different cards to post but I have been a lazy blogger LOL!!!  I am aways trying to come up with something different… it’s not always easy for me I’m afraid.  I have a ton of velum (is that spelled right?)  *shrug* anyway… My friend Karyn gave me a bunch of left over velum she had from her wedding invitations and I thought I would put some of it to good use….

I heat embossed the scenery using gold embossing powder on the velum which I made into a pocket on the front of the card.  I made an insert that slides down behind the velum.  Easy enough right?  It turned out quite pretty and it is a good switch up from a regular tent card.

I hope you like it, I think I will make a few more of them… it was a fun project.

Thanks so much for your visit!!

Merry Christmas….

14 Nov

Good Morning!  This is a totally Pintrest inspired card… I love Pintrest, so much inspiration so many ideas… It is totally addictive!  I haven’t felt very creative lately so I have been playing around with some card layouts I have found and trying to make them a little different because I don’t like to copy someone else’s designs.  This card is going to be a favorite of mine, I love blue Christmas cards for some reason.

I only made one of these because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but now that I have it completed, I think I will make several more for my stash.  I used faded jeans distress ink over top of the white heat embossed snowflakes.  It turned out really pretty!

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Wishes…

8 Nov

Good Morning!  I’m back from a little break!  My husband hasn’t been feeling well lately and I have been feeling quite exhausted so I took a little break from crafting to go to bed early, relax and catch up on some much needed sleep!  I have some Christmas cards to share with you today.  My friend Sue let me use this lovely stamp of hers by Stampin’ Up.  I think it is a retired set, which is a shame because I would love to buy it.  Have a look…

I don’t have a lot of Christmas paper and these cards use a minimal amount so I was able to make several of each for my stash.  I am totally behind on making this years Christmas cards so I better get cracking!  I can’t believe it’s already November!

Anyway…. Thanks again Sue for letting me use your lovely stamp set!!!  I am heading out the door soon for a day of training today so I better get a move on!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Finally getting started on my Christmas Cards….

16 Oct

Good Morning!!!  It’s the middle of October and before you know it, Christmas will be upon us!  I thought I had better get started *sigh*  Christmas cards are really not my favorite cards to make.  It’s tough to incorporate butterflies in them! LOL!!!  Here’s what I came up with….

I got the idea for this design from Pintrest and tried to make it my own by making them into easel cards.  I love the navy blue and white together… it is very striking.   I heat embossed the snow flake using white embossing powder.  These cards fold down nice and flat so they will be perfect for just popping in the mail to those on my Christmas card list.  Here’s a closer look…

Until tomorrow, Have a great day!

Christmas Cards for Friends….

30 Aug

Good Morning Blog Friends!  I am not getting any crafty time in this week at all!  Every evening after work this week I end up having so many other things to do, I haven’t had a chance to even sit in my craft room!  At least it’s staying somewhat tidy so I should be happy about that :)  I have another Christmas card to share with you that I made for the last Stamp A Stack at The Cutting Garden.

This is another quick and easy card to put together and it can just be popped in the mail without worrying about extra postage.  If you like the sentiment, you can grab it here on my blog.  Just click on the freebies link to the right and you will find it there along with other digi sentiments that Tony has made for me.

I’m off to get ready for another work day!  I hope everyone has a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Christmas Cards….

29 Aug

Good Morning!!

I know it’s August but I feel that I need to start thinking about what I am going to do for Christmas cards this year.  I made this card a while back for a stamp a stack that we held at The Cutting Garden.  It is a pretty simple card but I was pleased with it as it can be popped into the mail easily….

The stamp is by Creative Concepts – Stamp It! and it only took the smallest amount of coloring which made me very happy as I am not a fan of coloring.  This is just a regular size A2 card and it should be pretty easy to make several of these for my box of cards that I will be giving out this year.

I’m off to work again today so this is a quickie post.  I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
