An upcoming class….

Good Afternoon!  I managed to get some yard work done today…. only a little, the wind is still quite cool but the sun is really nice.  I weeded and replanted one of my strawberry patches.  At the rate I am going, it should take me all summer to get my yard in order! LOL!  Anyway….  I will be teaching a class at The Cutting Garden on June 8th and I thought I would share the pictures of the cards we will be making…

These cards were made using my new My Mind’s Eye, The Sweetest Thing stamp set.  The first four cards were made with the My Mind’s Eye Bluebell 6 x 6 paper pad.

This weeks class…

Good Morning!  Yup two posts in one day!  I wanted to post pictures of what we will be creating at The Cutting Garden at class this Thursday night…  (Also this is another excuse to use my camera LOL!)  My organization skills amaze me sometimes!  I popped into The Cutting Garden to pick up the set of cards so I can begin cutting and preparing for class and I brought home the wrong cards! LOL!!!  Luckily I made multiple cards so I had a set at home that I could snap pictures of…  Here’s what we will be creating….

All three of these cards are of course Pinterest inspired…. isn’t everything these days??? LOL!!

A little Gift Set…

Good Afternoon! *yawn*  Today is my day off and I have had an interesting weekend.  I spent Sunday afternoon teaching a class at The Cutting Garden and they ladies were very good about putting up with me.  I haven’t been feeling great, the Doc has me on a crazy high dose of antibiotics that are making me SOOO sick!  ugh!  Hopefully I am at then end of this… the last 10 days have been very tiring and I will be glad to start feeling back to normal!

Ok enough gab from me…  I have posed another new class for February at The Cutting Garden…  A cute little gift set!  Have a look…

The card was a a bit tricky to get to slide right but in the end it turned out really well!  I made this lovely little note book using my Bind It All and stamped each page with the cute little humming bird.

Home made gifts are really the best way to go in my opinion!

2013 Calendar….

Kim at The Cutting Garden challenged me to create a calendar for a class in January.  I have been turning this over in my mind for a week or more without much success.  Last night at the Crop she gave me a simple unfinished wooden frame and it just all came together for me….

I need to thanks Ms. Lauren from Laurenscraft for teaching me how to make these flowers!  They are amazing and so easy!!!  Thanks again Lauren!  *hugs*  I will be teaching this class on Sunday, January 20th at The Cutting Garden if any of you who are local are interested in coming in to craft with us!!

Gift Bag & Card….

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

It’s still really cold here in Halifax and we are expecting over 10 cm of snow tonight so it looks like we will be spending our evening shoveling!  ugh!  I hate shoveling!  Oh well, no point complaining!  We are just going to have to get it done!  Over at The Cutting Garden, Mel picked a wonderful sketch for this month’s challenge!  As soon as I saw it, I dove right in and made this pretty gift set to provide some inspiration for all of those who would like to play along….

Once I had it finished I decided to post a class for later this month.  The stamp set I used is Blooming with Kindness by Stampin’ Up.

What are you Thankful for?

I have so many things to be thankful for…

~  A nice warm comfortable home

~  A family who loves me

~  A husband who is kind, sweet and so understanding

~  Two wonderful and talented children that I drive crazy with all of my motherly nagging  (Andrew and Vicki)

~  Friends who accept me for who I am

~  My Beautiful Dogs… Sasha and Lacy who I adore with all my heart!

And….. A fully stocked craft room where I can let my creativity flow!!!!!

What more could a girl ask for?????  LOL!!

I wanted to make a post to show you the talents of my Daughter Vicki….  She has been enjoying some card making classes, and when you see the pictures you will KNOW I didn’t teach them to her! LOL!!!  It was the lovely and talented Mel who taught Vicki this paper piecing technique!!!

Hello Blog Friends!…

I have been busy crafting up a storm in preparation for some fun classes at The Cutting Garden!  Here a look at what I have come up with so far….

Fun Right?  I really like these darker colors although my camera doesn’t seem to much but they are a cute as can be in real life.  Well I am making the most I can out of my Saturday in my craft room.  It’s very rainy here today so It is the perfect opportunity to get creating!

I have some pretty Gift Bags to share with you today  I am spending tomorrow at The Cutting Garden teaching how to make these!  They are super easy and tons of fun to make!

Hi there Blog Friends…. I am as usual behind with posting *sigh*  This has been a crazy busy week for me with work and making all those crazy books for some of my coworkers I haven’t had much time to post some of the back log of cards that I have made.  Here is another card that we had a class on last week and I am just getting around to posting now….

This is a simple little card and matching envelope…

I am so looking forward to this weekend to have some time in my craft room to relax and create!  I have one more day of work and then off for three to play!  I am planning on trying to make something new and I just can’t wait to get started!
