Another Diva Dare…

26 Sep

Hi Again!  I hope everyone had a great Monday!  you are probably saying… what Monday is ever great??? well I know how you feel but I persevered and got through it! LOL!!  Here’s is another entry for the Diva Dare Challenge going on over at the Verve Blog:

This time I am decided to CASE Maureen!  Click here to see her beautiful card:  I fell in love with this card the moment I saw it and I just had to see what I could do with it.  Thanks so much Marueen for the wonderful inspiration!!!

Here is my entry….

I Love how this card turned out, in fact, I don’t think I am going to be able to let this one go!  It’s not often I get attached to a card but this is my idea of the perfect card.    I used Verve stamps and my EK Dimensional Dahlia Punch for the the flower.  I added some Stickles and pearls and made the hat pins to give it some added pretty elements.

Here’s another view…

Hope you like it!

More Diva Dares…

25 Sep

Hi Again!  I am still playing along with the Diva Dares over at the Verve Stamps Blog… you can find the challenges here:

Today I am casing Amy Sheffer!   This is Amy’s fantastic card that gave me inspiration:  Wow was it tough to only pick one card!!  Amy’s gallery is spectacular!  Here’s my take on Amy’s card:

This was such a fun card to make!  I didn’t have any twine so I used yarn and I think it worked great!  I love cards with bling 🙂  This is a simple but fun card.

Thanks for all the inspiration Diva’s!

Hope you like it!

Viva la Verve – September week 1!

24 Sep

Hi again!  I have been playing along with the Verve case a Diva challenges over on the Verve Blog but I have been neglecting the Verve Forum on SplitCoast because the first sketch was scaring me to death….  Here is the link to the challenge:**viva-la-verve-september-week-1-%7B9-2-11%7D**-t536988.html I was totally intimidated with this sketch!!!!

I put my big girl pants on today and decided to give it a go….  Here is what I came up with…

Whew!  I used my borrowed Verve stamp for this card.  Thank you again Jen for letting me use your lovely stamps!

Here’s another view….

I so hope the light box my husband made me improves my horrible photography issues… this is my first attempt at using it.

Well that’s week one done…. I am heading over to see what the week two sketch is! 🙂

Hope you like it!

P is for Pretty Punches…

24 Sep

Morning All!  Happy Saturday!  I created this card for DellsDani’s Alphabet challenge.  This week is the letter P and for the life of me I couldn’t think of anything else to make….

Does this flower look like a posy?  Not really but it’s PINK!  Pretty, Punched, Pink goodness…. I think it should pass 😉

The flower is a pre colored image from Fred She Said.  The background Pink mat is done with the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Eyelet Lace punch set.  The white background mat has been made using the Martha Stewart Loops corner punch.  Here’s another look…

Hope you like it!

Diva Dare Day 3….

23 Sep

Hello!  I am still playing along with the September Diva Dares over at the Verve Blog.  You can check out all the fun here:  They are daring us to CASE a Diva!  This is the third card I made so far for this series of challenges.  This time I decided to CASE this beautiful creation by Betty Wright… Wow that is one talented lady!  It took me forever to pick one card!  I wanted to make them all LOL!  I love these opportunities to CASE the Divas, and I also like that I can make changes to try to make the card my own as well.  Here’s what I came up with…

The same idea, I just changed up the design a bit!  I used some pretty paper from my DCWV French Country Stack paper pad.  The die I used for the sentiment is the Nestabilities Fleur de Lis Square, this is one of my favorites!  I don’t currently own any Verve stamps and if you play along you have a chance of winning some!  How great is that???  🙂  Here’s another view…

I added some glossy accents to the center of the punched flower to make it shine and added the cute little pearl.  The ribbon I used has butterflies printed on it, it is very pretty and is always available at our local dollar store.  The butterflies were punched with the EK Tools 3 layer butterfly punch.

Well that is day three done!  I am obsessing over these challenges LOL!  I already have two more cards made for these challenges but I am a bit lazy this week with posting.  I plan to catch up this weekend 🙂

Keep your fingers crossed for me please!

Lisa 🙂
