Baby Books…

30 Oct

Good Morning!  This is a really quick post as I am heading out the door to work.  A friend at work asked me to create two baby books for her brother as he and his wife are having twins!  Have a look…

These turned out so pretty!!  I really hopes she likes them.

Have a great day!!!

Something a little different….

29 Oct

Happy Monday!  Ugh… back to the grind right?  I am not at work today, I am on course today which is nice for a change 🙂  Although the odds of me retaining a lot on Monday is a bit sketchy LOL!!  I have had a busy but productive weekend.  I managed to get a TON of housework done, I have been totally slacking on that and Tony, Vicki and I worked out in the yard clearing up all the leaves, or at least the first round of leaves.  I managed to get several windows cleaned inside and out… you know, the usual getting ready for winter sort of stuff.  I had a couple of crafty friends over on Saturday and we had a great time.  I managed to make something a little different….  check this out…

This is one of those LED Glade candle holders…. I took the cardboard scented part off and replaced it with some pretty stamped and head embossed blue velum and I am very pleased with how it turned out.  I used the Elements of Style stamp set and added some pretty ribbon and butterflies.  Too Simple!  I am thinking I might do a Christmas one next.

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Gift Tags….

25 Oct

Good Morning Friends….  I have some gift tags to share with you this morning.  A friend at work asked me to make 5 of them, three feminine and 2 masculine gift tags.  Here’s what I came up with…

As you can see… I found the masculine tags much more difficult!  Honestly!  Making cards and tags for men is just painful!  *sigh*  Tony keeps telling me that I worry too much about this.  Men really are not that bothered about what the card looks like.  LOL!!  Anyway, it is what it is!!!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Just for You….

24 Oct

Good Morning Friends!  I have a quick post for you this morning as I am busy getting ready for work.  I was so busy last Sunday getting some Christmas cards made up for the upcoming Stamp a Stack at The Cutting Garden that I didn’t get my advanced posting done!  I have another pretty Easel card to share with you, with some more lovely hand made flowers….

This card folds nice and flat so that it can be easily popped into an envelope and mailed.  The paper I used is from my Recollections Garden Floral paper pad.

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Elements of Style….

23 Oct

Good Morning Blog Friends….

The best part of being a Lady Bug at The Cutting Garden is you get to play with the coolest of toys!  I borrowed this lovely stamp set that belongs to Kim and I totally fell in love with it the minute I stamped it.  This is the very next stamp set on my wish list!!!  I have to admit… I totally followed a tutorial to make this card, pretty much to the letter.  I discovered it on Pintrest of course 🙂  I changed it up a bit by using some different colors and I am thrilled with the result.  I am slowly pushing myself out of my comfort zone and working more with color and I really feel it is paying off for me.  Check this out…

No pink, no butterflies and no bow!!  OMG what is my world coming to????? LOL!  This card was a bit of work and took some time to get done but it was well worth the effort!  For the coloring I used my distress ink pads, distress markers.  I love it!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Masculine Birthday….

22 Oct

Good Morning and Happy Monday!  I had another great weekend this weekend, lots of crafty time spent in my little craft room creating an whole bunch of Christmas cards for a Stamp A Stack coming up at The Cutting Garden on November 3rd.

Once I got my Christmas cards made I settled down and made this birthday card for a co-worker….

It is a pretty simple card really, colored with my Tim Holtz distressed inks and chalks.  I added some stickles to the water to make it shimmer but I am afraid you can’t see it very well in the picture.  I managed to get this card done pretty quick!  The Stamp is by PSX and it is one of my favorite boat stamps.  I really enjoy making masculine cards because it is such a challenge for me!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Slider Card….

20 Oct

Good Morning Blog Friends!

Last night I spent the evening in my craft room attempting to make something different.  It was like pulling teeth! LOL!!!  Some evenings I just can’t seem to get anything worth while done but I persevered!  I was determined to give a slider card a try and I managed to complete one….

I bought this stamp set AGES ago and this is the first time I have stamped it.  It’s by Stampin’ Up!  called Faith in Nature.  The sentiment is just a random $1.50 stamp I picked up from Michaels.  This was a fun card to make…. a bit complicated, it took me three attempts before I got it right LOL!!!  Maybe it’s because I am a bit of a goldfish tonight…  Friday nights are like that for me… I am usually tired and not firing on all cylinders 😉

Have a look at the hidden image…

Not too bad for my first kick at the can huh?  This stamp is by Memory Box and I picked this beauty up at The Cutting Garden.  I love stamps with writing in the background.  Well I need to clean up my craft room before I turn in for the night.  I hate waking up to a mess…. I tend to feel more creative if my craft room is tidy and ready to use.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!
