Anniversary….

27 Jul

Happy Sunday!

It is another beautiful day here in Halifax, the sun is shining and there is a bit of a cool breeze.  I am busy getting my chores done and then plan to relax for the afternoon.  I have spent some time in my craft room this weekend making a few cards for my stash.  This one is a pretty Anniversary card made with loads of beautiful die cuts.

Anniversary1The making of this card cost me dearly… My beloved Bigshot died in the making of this card!  *sniff* Oh well, I have contacted sizzix to arrange to get replacement parts AGAIN!  I have had to repair my Bigshot three years in a row.  I am starting to wonder if mine is somehow defective because most people find theirs very reliable.  I am going to have to made a decision on what machine to buy to replace this one.  I am hesitant on getting another Bigshot because mine has broken so many times.  It is a pain to have to keep waiting for parts to be shipped.  Oh well, I am sure I will figure it out!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Sympathy card….

6 Jul

Happy Sunday Morning!

I spent all day yesterday in my craft room riding out tropical storm Arthur.  I was very happy that we didn’t lose power and I was able to relax and make some cards for my stash.

sympathy 001I have been on a roll with Sympathy cards lately.  I don’t like making them very much but it is necessary.  I really love the all white cards, they look so elegant and having a calming feel to them.  The butterfly die is by Memory Box and the flourish is by Cheery Lynn.

I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Flourishes….

2 Jul

Hi again Blog Friends!

I thought I would pop in and post a quick little card I made using the Flourishes Year In Flowers stamp set.

FlourishesI love the colors on this card, I don’t use yellow often but found these blank cards on discount at Michaels and picked up a few packages.  Now that I made this, I wish I had bought more!  I used my Inktense pencils to color the flowers and added a bit of stickles to give it some shimmer.

I am off to bed soon as I am up at 5 am to get ready for work.

I hope you all are having a great week!
