It is another beautiful day here in Halifax, the sun is shining and there is a bit of a cool breeze. I am busy getting my chores done and then plan to relax for the afternoon. I have spent some time in my craft room this weekend making a few cards for my stash. This one is a pretty Anniversary card made with loads of beautiful die cuts.
The making of this card cost me dearly… My beloved Bigshot died in the making of this card! *sniff* Oh well, I have contacted sizzix to arrange to get replacement parts AGAIN! I have had to repair my Bigshot three years in a row. I am starting to wonder if mine is somehow defective because most people find theirs very reliable. I am going to have to made a decision on what machine to buy to replace this one. I am hesitant on getting another Bigshot because mine has broken so many times. It is a pain to have to keep waiting for parts to be shipped. Oh well, I am sure I will figure it out!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi All! I have been so lazy about posting lately! I have been spending time in my craft room but I have mostly been working on developing some classes for The Cutting Garden. I haven’t really spent a lot of time randomly creating anything new.
I did manage to make a few cute little note cards over the past week….
The stamp I used is by Stampin’ Up! called On The Grow. It is one of my go to stamps especially when I am making simple little note cards. They come in handy when you just want to send someone a little card to make them smile.
Well I am up for work again tomorrow at 5:00 am! Yuck! I am still struggling with this new morning routine for my new job, but I will eventually get used to it!
Hope you all are having a good week! We are in for some more snow this week, I can’t even tell you how tired of winter I am!
Thanks for peeking in!
Good Morning! I have another pretty card to share with you this morning using the Dragonfly Vine stamp that Kim has ordered in at The Cutting Garden. I love this pretty stamp and when you add some shimmery stickles to it, it is just beautiful! This time I used some pretty purple paper…..
I am looking forward to spending some time in my craft room this weekend and as a bonus, Monday is a holiday so I have an extra day! Over the last few weeks I have snagged myself a few new punches that I am just itching to play with. I scored two new deep edge Martha Stewart punch around the page sets at The Cutting Garden that I am excited to use. Also I have 2 of the Martha Stewart Doily Punches to craft with so it should be a fun weekend for me!
I am off to get ready for work! Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
One of my co-workers asked me to make a special Anniversary card for her daughter and husband. She didn’t tell me anything specific she wanted, only what their names were. The only thing she asked is that it be a ‘big’ card….
I always worried about making the larger cards because the envelopes were so hard to come by but now that I have the new We R Memory Keepers Envelop Punch Board it is so simple to make any size envelope! This card is 6″ x 6″ and I used the left over design paper to make the matching envelope.
Here’s a peek at the inside…
For the inside I used the Martha Stewart Antique Heart deep edge border punch to make the fancy design at the top.
The stamp I used on the front of the card is by Hampton Art and it is called Love Defined, it is heat embossed using Pearl Luster Sapphire.
Would you believe it took me 2.5 hours to make this card? These days it’s like pulling teeth! LOL!!
I am off to work! I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Good Morning! I am off to work again today and counting down the days until I start my vacation. I am off work next weekend and we have some projects to do around the house but for the most part, we will be just sticking close to home and relaxing. I have another card to share with you this morning with some hand made flowers….
The two large flowers are made with my scalloped circle punch and the little ones with a rolled flower die. They are very simple flowers to make and they always turn out lovely. I heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder.
I am off to get ready for work! I hope you have a great day!
Good Monday Morning to you all…
I have been laying low this weekend trying to get rid of this ridiculous flu, it has been dragging on for what seems like forever! I need to get on the other side of this and back to work this morning! I haven’t been very crafty this week while I have been sick but I have loads of projects stored up to share with you.
This was made using the Martha Stewart deep edge Scroll Heart punch. This punch belongs to my friend Carol and it is absolutely my favorite edge punch… I use it often and I think I am going to have to buy her a new one because a tear comes to my eye every time I think she may want to take it back! LOL!!! I love the layout of this card, it would make such a lovely wedding or anniversary card don’t you think?
Well I am off to get ready to start my day. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Good Morning and Happy Friday! I can’t even tell you how happy I am it’s finally Friday! I have a very relaxing weekend planned, lots of crafty time and some of my regular chores around the house and a few walks for the dogs. That’s It! I am planning on doing a small re-org of my craft room tonight… I am hoping it’s small LOL! I don’t want to tear my room apart because I want it to be in some sort of working order so I can play this weekend.
I have a card to share with you this morning that I made a while back….
The background frame die is by Cheery Lynn and it is called France Lattice Small Frame. It is the perfect size for a regular A2 card and it cuts beautifully in my Bigshot. I paired it with the JustRite Kindness stamp set and used white and black heat embossing. This is a very simple card but it looks very elegant.
This is just a short post and I need to get my act in gear and get ready to start my day.
I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by!
