It’s been so long!….

28 Dec

Good Morning Blog Friends….

I hope you all have had a fantastic Christmas!  I haven’t posted in what seems like ages!  I am on vacation and have finally found some time to hide out in my craft room!  I have been so missing my flower and butterflies so I decided to make some pretty gift tags….

Tag 1Tag 2These tags measure about 5 1/2 by 4 1/2″.  I used my Cameo to cut out the pretty flowers and my lovely daughter Vicki bought the new butterfly punch from The Cutting Garden for me for Christmas.  I just used a little heart punch and punched out the center of the butterflies.  These tags turned out so pretty!

I am off to run some errands and hopefully visit all the croppers at the all day crop at the Garden.

Have a fantastic day!

Pretty Little Tags…

2 Oct

Good Evening Blog Friends!  I have been MIA for a little while from posting and I have only laziness to blame for it! LOL!  That and my mojo being on vacation for a little while.  I have been spending some time in my craft room but I don’t have much to show for it I am afraid.  But that’s okay!  We all have our dry spells from time to time where we just sit and enjoy just looking around our craft space, rearranging and reorganizing things.  I do have a couple of pretty little tags that I can share with you tonight….

TagTag 1Tag 2

These were just a fun little project I made with some scraps that I had laying on my work surface.

I am going to work on some more blog candy for you all so keep and eye out!  The winners last time seemed to be really excited to receive their dies!  I am over 225 followers and I thought I should post another fun give away 🙂

I hope you all are having a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Butterflies….

18 Apr

Hi Again!  Another quick post before I start my work day.  I found this sweet free butterfly image on pinterest and couldn’t resist printing it off a couple of times and creating with it….

Butterfly1I was helping a friend (Shelly) out on skype the other night because she was having difficulty with her new Punch Around the Page set of punches and that inspired me to pull out a set of mine and get punching!  This one has loads of layers just the way I like it 🙂

Butterfly2I thought this image would be lovely as a tag for a thank you gift as well.

Okay… Now to start my day!  Have a good one!!

Gift Tags….

Good Morning Friends….  I have some gift tags to share with you this morning.  A friend at work asked me to make 5 of them, three feminine and 2 masculine gift tags.  Here’s what I came up with…

As you can see… I found the masculine tags much more difficult!  Honestly!  Making cards and tags for men is just painful!  *sigh*  Tony keeps telling me that I worry too much about this.  Men really are not that bothered about what the card looks like.  LOL!!  Anyway, it is what it is!!!

I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Gift Bag….

27 Aug

Good Morning Blog Friends!  I have another gift bag to share with you…..

I decided to make a Christmas bag this time using the wonderful Christmas papers Kim has in stock at The Cutting Garden.  These bags are a ton of fun to make… really quick and easy too.  You can do anything with them and decorate them as much or as little as you like!

I used the Martha Stewart Double Arches border punch, which is one of my favorites.  Here’s a look at the whole bag…

I stamped snowflakes all over the bag and inked the edges.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Some Cheery Inspiration…..

22 Aug

Good Afternoon Friends!

I have another fun project to share with you today!  Wow this is three posts in one day!  I just couldn’t wait to share this one with you all…..  I took lots of pictures LOL!!!

Kim at The Cutting Garden has challenged us to create like mad using our Cheery Lynn Dies in preparation for our visit with the owners of Cheery Lynn Designs this coming Saturday!!!  (CAN YOU TELL I AM JUST A LITTLE EXCITED?????)  lol!

I used three of my favorite Cheery Lynn Dies for this project….

~ Fanciful Flourish

~ French Pastry Doily

~ Small Lace Faerie Queen Butterfly

I love making hand made gift bags…. It adds such a lovely personal touch to any gift!  I don’t think I will every give a store bought gift bag ever again!  The hand made bags are so beautiful and fun to make.  This is just an example of what you can create…. I have loads more ideas floating around in my tiny little mind and I will be sharing them all with you as I get them created!

I hope my project inspires you to make something beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Happy Friday Blog Friends!

It’s a long weekend here for us this weekend and I am playing catch up big time as usual!  I haven’t been crafting much lately, the weather here in Halifax has been absolutely fantastic and I have been spending a lot of time on my deck enjoying our lovely back yard and just relaxing.  Work has been totally hectic and when I get home, I have been too tired and hot to do much of anything except try to cool off.  I’ve been going to bed early and just being really quite lazy….

I have a gift tag card this weekend that I am teaching at The Cutting Garden so I thought I would pop on and post what I have made…

Kinda pretty huh?  I thought these would love lovely on plain kraft style gift bags you can pick up easily at the dollar stores.  The would dress the bags up beautifully don’t you think?

I hope everyone is having a great night and thanks for stopping by!!!
