Good Evening! I have finally drug myself away from my garden and back into my craft room to do a quick post. Kim has some new My Mind’s Eye stamps that recently came in and I found a bit of time to ink them up….
This set is from the Find Your Wings and Fly collection called Up & Away. It makes such cute masculine cards and I felt with Father’s day right around the corner it was the perfect time to pull them out to see what I could create. Cute huh? I love these stamps! they are totally fun!
I hope you are all having a great evening and thanks for stopping by!!!
Good Morning! I thought I would post some pictures of an upcoming class that I am teaching at The Cutting Garden. This is another My Mind’s Eye class, which is hands down my favorite brand of stamp sets. I love how quirky they are, you can do so much with them! This set is The Sweetest Thing Honey “Happiness”. I LOVE everything bee’s so this set really called to me. I thought I would do something a little different and try to do a clean and simple style class…
I stamped all the insides of each card and also hand made the envelopes and stamped them as well.
I struggle with clean and simple cards usually, but for some reason this one was quite easy for me to put together.
Happy Sunday to you all! Thanks for stopping by!
Good Morning! I am going to share something a little different with you this morning. I love to do fancy folds and I came across something a little different on Pinterest the other day so I thought I would give it a try. This card is folded like a business envelope and I used buttons and string to make the closure…
Over at the Use it Tuesday blog they are challenging us to use the supplies that we hoard and avoid using because we just can’t part with them. I’ve got lots of hoarding going on with this creation. The glitter paper is #1… I used it to die cut my little dragonfly. Also the paper doily… I covet all doilies and my friend Carol gave me these doilies and I know that once they are gone I won’t be able to get anymore. 😦 Notice how I only used half the doily? LOL! Yup, I take hoarding to a new level. Also, the paper I used is by My Mind’s Eye Collectable “Today” Now I know I can get more of this paper… but I have to wait until the weekend until I get to visit The Cutting Garden again to replenish my stash. So there you have it, it is a little different but I am happy with the finished project! I hope you like it too!
Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by!!
Good Morning! Where did the weekend go? I am back to work today… this past week went by so quickly for me, I woke up feeling like I had missed something! LOL! I didn’t get much crafty time in this weekend but I still have something to share with you…
Yes, it’s another one of those tag cards that I love to make. This time I used the new paper Kim at The Cutting Garden has brought in… (I am sure my begging had something to do with it!). This paper is by My Mind’s Eye and it is the Collectable line. It is beyond beautiful. I have bought individual sheets as well as the 6 x 6 paper pad. I will probably hoard the little paper pad until I get back to the store to buy another one 🙂 That is so terrible of me! LOL! Anyway, this is a pretty easy project and it has all the things I love… buttons and hand made flowers and lace with a little hand stitching to finish it off.
I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
Good Morning! I am still alive, but just barely! I have come down with a rotten stinking cold… but I don’t think I can fool myself any longer, it has to be the flu. I was in bed the entire day yesterday, getting up at 6:30 to try to eat some soup and then back in bed by 8 pm. I am up this morning but I feel like I have just crawled out from under a rock! Holy Cow! Anyway… Here is 2 cards I made using the My Mind’s Eye, The Sweetest Thing stamp set that Kim just brought in….
I used the My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found 3 6 x 6 paper pad to make these. These are nice and low profile, perfect for slipping in the mail for someone. I really love the simple layouts used for these cards.
I hope you all have a great day, I am going to try to stay up for a bit, but It probably won’t last long. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Monday to you! *Ugh* I have a miserable cold and haven’t been out of the house all weekend. I have to head off to work today but I thought I would share the first card I made with my new stamp set by My Mind’s Eye! This one is called The Sweetest Thing – Bluebell Remember. These little stamp sets are my absolute favorite and Kim has them in stock right now! I believe Kim is bringing in two other new sets from the Lost & Found Line and I just simply can’t wait! Here’s my card…
The paper I used for this project is from the 6 x 6 Lost & Found 3 paper pad. Kim has brought in a supply of these as well, the little paper pads are perfect for card makers and the papers mix and match so well with each other. I really think this is a fun layout and I will definitely use it again in the future. The butterfly punch is also from The Cutting Garden. It is the new Martha Stewart double butterfly punch, I love it that you can cut out a detailed butterfly or just a solid one, this is come to be my go to punch. Well I am off to get ready for work!
I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
Good Morning! I have had an early start today! I am currently sitting in a hotel in Dartmouth waiting for a meeting to start so I thought I would amuse myself while I am waiting and get some blog posting done! I traveled in with Tony who likes to start work at an ungodly hour! I thought I wouldn’t disrupt his schedule too much and just come in early and fool around on my blog or with Pintrest until people started arriving at 8:30. I was so impressed with myself that I figured out how to connect to the wireless internet here at the hotel all on my own! I am such a computer dunce when it comes to some things 😉 Anyway, enough rambling from me, here is the card I would like to share with you this morning…
The little train image is from a discontinued My Mind’s Eye stamp set that I picked up a while back at The Cutting Garden. I simply love everything that My Mind’s Eye puts out, this is from the Lost and Found 2 collection. Kim and I were chatting last week about their new releases and being the wonderful woman that she is, she ordered the new stamps and some paper from the new Lost and Found 3 collection! I am very excited to see these come in as I know I will maximize my use of their new stamps, I tend to make these my go to stamps all the time. The new collection is so fun! I simply can’t wait! So stay tuned for some new creations from me using My Mind’s Eye new line! 😀
So for this card it is pretty easy to see that I used loads of distressing on the edges of my paper and I pulled out my faded jeans Tim Holtz distress ink to ink the edges. I created my own design paper to create the background panel just by simply stamping a cream piece of card stock using my script stamp. The black and blue banners are stamps from the stamp set. I also made a custom envelope for this card and stamped the little train in memento espresso truffle.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!!
