Peace…

18 Oct

Good Morning!

I thought I would share another pretty Christmas card with you that I made last weekend.  I am heading over to The Cutting Garden this morning to soak up the crafty goodness and hopefully score some fun new stamps to play with!

Peace 001

This card measures 5 x 5 and again I am using the Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia die and the reindeer flight die.  I heat embossed a pretty snowflake on the dear.

Well I am off to get my day started!  Have a good one!

Twirl Loop….

7 Aug

Good Morning!  It’s Wednesday already thank goodness!  I love these short weeks but I find it difficult because I have one less day to get all the things I need to get done at work finished up before the weekend.  I have another week of vacation coming up in a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to it!

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a new Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch Around the Page set of punches from The Cutting Garden. These punch sets are my Kriptonite!  Is that even spelled right?  Oh well, I am sure you know what I mean….

Twirl Loop 1I just had to pull it and and see what I could make with it right away.  I paired it with my new Anna Griffin embossing folder (also from The Cutting Garden).  This card was so simple to put together as I just used a piece of scrap, cut it to size which was 4″ x 4″ and and then popped up a little piece of plain white card stock with a small butterfly punched in the center.  I used Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet distressed ink sponged around the edges and viola! Simplicity!

Twirl Loop 2I think this card is so pretty… it would literally take only minutes to whip one of these up if you needed a card in a hurry and it’s a great way to use up some of your scraps!  This is about as clean and simple as I can manage lately.

I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!!

Friendship….

2 Aug

Good Morning!  Happy Friday!  I am totally excited that the weekend is almost finally here!  It’s a long weekend and I am looking forward to enjoying some relaxation time at home and in my craft room!  A couple of weeks ago my friend, Shelly came to stay with me from Cape Breton and we had a fun crafty weekend.  I got a chance to play with her stamps which was really fun!

Friendship 1This stamp is by Stampin’ Up and Shelly brought so many with her I had a hard time deciding which ones to use!  Again with my obsession with blue… Sorry, hopefully I will get off this fixation soon lol!

Friendship 2Okay… now I am off to get ready for work!  I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Flowers….

Good Morning!

Fred She Said Blue 1No this image is not a stamp and I did not color it! LOL!  This is a digi image I bought ages and ages ago from Fred She Said.  I love pretty floral cards and I decided to print a few off to make some cards last Monday in between doing some house work.

Fred She Said Blue 2I used the lovely Memory Box wreath die I picked up a while back from The Cutting Garden and some of the pretty ribbon Kim keeps in stock.  The white sheer ribbon is my favorite.

Its another work day for me so I am off to get ready!  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies…..

16 Jul

Good Morning!

I hit 200 followers yesterday!  So tonight after work I will do the draw for my blog candy!  I am excited to see who wins!

I have a pretty card to share with you this morning.  I used a different technique for this one.  I cut the image into 4, inked around the edges and then used my VersaMark watermark stamp pad and coated each piece and heat embossed it using glossy embossing powder.  Kinda gave it a tiled look, but the picture doesn’t show it very well unfortunately.

Butterflies 1I colored the butterflies in with copics and added some glitter to give them some sparkle.

Butterflies 2I have had this recollections stamp on my shelf for months but haven’t used it.  I felt it was the perfect stamp to try this new technique out and I am very pleased with the results!

I hope you have a great day…. it’s stinkin hot again here today!  Thank goodness for the AC!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Zinnia’s….

7 Jul

Good Morning!  The weather has been incredible this weekend here in Halifax, totally stinking hot but the sun is amazing!  We are getting ready to pack up and head over to Leslie and Jim’s place to frolic in their pool for the afternoon.  It going to be so much fun!

I have a fun card to share with you today… I have been trying to use some of the mountain’s of design paper that I have….

Zinnia 1The stamp set I used is by Flourishes called Zinnia.  It is one of my favorites!

Zinnia 2I made the matching envelope with the left over design paper.  I love how this card used up pretty much one entire 12 x 12 sheet of design paper.

Zinnia 3I hope you all are having a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
