Good Morning!

I thought I would share another pretty Christmas card with you that I made last weekend.  I am heading over to The Cutting Garden this morning to soak up the crafty goodness and hopefully score some fun new stamps to play with!

Peace 001

This card measures 5 x 5 and again I am using the Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia die and the reindeer flight die.  I heat embossed a pretty snowflake on the dear.

Well I am off to get my day started!  Have a good one!

Penny Black – Adornment

13 Oct

Here is another pretty Christmas Card that has loads of sparkle!  I love this glitter paper and I usually go through loads of it this time of year making Christmas Cards….

Adornment 001

I used one of my many Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch sets to make the back panel.  I heat embossed the Adornment Stamp by Penny Black with Sterling Silver embossing powder and finished it off with loads of gems.  I think I will make some more of this one, I really like how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Twirl Loop….

7 Aug

Good Morning!  It’s Wednesday already thank goodness!  I love these short weeks but I find it difficult because I have one less day to get all the things I need to get done at work finished up before the weekend.  I have another week of vacation coming up in a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to it!

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a new Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch Around the Page set of punches from The Cutting Garden. These punch sets are my Kriptonite!  Is that even spelled right?  Oh well, I am sure you know what I mean….

Twirl Loop 1I just had to pull it and and see what I could make with it right away.  I paired it with my new Anna Griffin embossing folder (also from The Cutting Garden).  This card was so simple to put together as I just used a piece of scrap, cut it to size which was 4″ x 4″ and and then popped up a little piece of plain white card stock with a small butterfly punched in the center.  I used Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet distressed ink sponged around the edges and viola! Simplicity!

Twirl Loop 2I think this card is so pretty… it would literally take only minutes to whip one of these up if you needed a card in a hurry and it’s a great way to use up some of your scraps!  This is about as clean and simple as I can manage lately.

I hope you all have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!!

Good Morning Blog Friends….

This is just a quick post as I am in a rush to head out to teach a class at The Cutting Garden.  I waned to share a pretty card I made this week using the Flourishes Magnolias stamp….

Magnolias 1This card measures 5.5 x 5.5 and I used the Recollections – The Sweetest Thing paper pad.  The ink I used is Color Box Fluid Chalk Prussian Blue.

Magnolias 2I hope you all are having a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning!

One of my co-workers asked me to make a special Anniversary card for her daughter and husband.  She didn’t tell me anything specific she wanted, only what their names were. The only thing she asked is that it be a ‘big’ card….

Anniversary 001

I always worried about making the larger cards because the envelopes were so hard to come by but now that I have the new We R Memory Keepers Envelop Punch Board it is so simple to make any size envelope!  This card is 6″ x 6″ and I used the left over design paper to make the matching envelope.

Here’s a peek at the inside…

Anniversary 002For the inside I used the Martha Stewart Antique Heart deep edge border punch to make the fancy design at the top.

Anniversary 003The stamp I used on the front of the card is by Hampton Art and it is called Love Defined, it is heat embossed using Pearl Luster Sapphire.

Would you believe it took me 2.5 hours to make this card?  These days it’s like pulling teeth! LOL!!

I am off to work!  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Gift Box and Card….

24 Jun

Good Morning!  I can’t believe the weekend is over so quickly and it is Monday again!  I didn’t spend much time in my craft room this weekend, the weather was just too fantastic and I spent most of my time on the deck and tending to my little garden.  I took some lovely pictures of what is blooming here at my place and I will share them with you later. A friend at work asked if I could make a gift box and matching card for a friend of hers that is retiring… Box 1Box 2I used the Martha Stewart Flower Bed border punch to make the lovely band of design paper around the entire box and then wrapped it with pretty ribbon.  I just punched both sides of the strip of design paper, it gives a lovely effect.  The butterflies are also from a Martha Stewart punch. Did that little white frame catch your eye?  That is a new toy I found at The Cutting Garden, It was made from the Martha Stewart Crafter’s Clay Heirloom starter kit.  What a fun little tool this is going to be!  It is a beautiful little set and will work wonderful on any mixed media projects or cards.  LOVE IT!  This kit comes with 4 molds and lots of clay to get you started. Box 3Box 4I am off to work!  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!Signature

Die Cut Crazy Online Magazine…

Good Morning! (Again)

I received an email from the editor of a new online magazine called Die Cut Crazy about a month or so ago asking me to contribute to the June edition.  This magazine is for the IPad and you can find it in the ITunes store.  I don’t have an IPad but Stephanie sent me the screen shots so that I could share them on my blog.  This was so much fun!

Die Cut Crazy 1Die Cut Crazy 2Fun huh???  Stephanie was so pleased with how this turned out, she asked me to contribute to the July edition as well!  I had better get to work I guess!
