Hero Arts – In the Garden…

Good Morning!

No one here in Nova Scotia is thinking about gardening right now.  We are getting ready for another blizzard starting tonight and it is going to be very cold!

I despise winter!

Anyway… I have a pretty card to share with you this morning…..

I picked up this sweet stamp at The Cutting Garden’s yard sale and  I am sure I only paid about $2.00 for it!  I am off to work again today and I have a feeling it’s going to be a long one.  I stayed up too late last night tidying my craft room as it looked like a bomb went off in it!  It is all tidy again now and waiting for me to come home from work tonight to begin messing it up again! LOL!

Prima Goodness….

My Crafting Mojo has been on vacation lately.  I haven’t been able to create anything that remotely sparked my interest in days!  That was until the lovely and talented Lauren gave me a kick in the butt in this weeks Mix It Up Challenge and challenged us to use flowers!!! She is even allowing us to break out our most precious flower packages and use them on a project!!!  Now that was just SCREAMING my name!!!  Please note…. although tempted, I was not able to break out the amazing hand made flowers Lauren sent me for Christmas but I managed to use some Prima’s I have been hoarding! LOL!!!

So this card is all me… everything I love.  Everything! 🙂  I have been playing with my style and it really hasn’t been working for me so this is it!  LOL!!!  I picked up this lovely Memory Box Quinn Flourish Die from The Cutting Garden and Kim is expecting a new shipment in any day!!!

Sassy Cheryl`s Flower Girl…

I totally fell in love with this stamp, it`s so cute! I colored it using my Copics and added Stickles and the little flowers around the border.

This was a quick and easy little note card to make up.  I used the Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder in my Big Shot to do the background.  The next layer of patterned paper is from a paper pack I picked up at Michael’s made by DCWV – the Blossom Song stack.  It is hard to see in the photo but it is glittered paper, very pretty!  I used my daisy punch to make the flower and put some stickles on it to add some dimension.   The stamp is a mini clear stamp made by Kaiser Craft – Friends.  Again I didn’t put a sentiment on the inside because I just hate to limit the use of these pretty cards.  This card is sure to brighten someone’s day.  Hope you like it! 🙂

Note Cards….

Ok this one I think I will pick as one of my favorites! 7 layers of paper!  I love the black background.  I think I would like to make a series of this type of card in different colors.  It is too pretty to put a sentiment on because I don’t want to limit it’s use.  I think this card would be good for any occasion 🙂  The only stamp I used is the little $1.29 flower stamp I picked up from Carsand Mosher.  Love It!! 🙂  I used the Cuttlebug polka-dot embossing folder in my Big Shot for the white background and I used a Recollections edge punch for the bottom of the black border.  I am really happy with how this turned out.  There was a lot of measuring and cutting involved in making this card but it was worth the work! Hope you like it!  I would love to hear your comments 🙂
