More Prima Doll Cards….

Good Morning!

I have had a bit of time to pull out one of my Prima Doll stamps again.  They stamps make such pretty cards….

When I was at the Cutting Garden last weekend I managed to snag some new crafty goodies and I am hoping to find some time this weekend to pull them out and see what I can do with them.  Kim got in some amazing masculine paper so I am itching to make some more masculine cards.

I hope you all are having a great week!  Stay warm and Dry!  It has been quite cold and rainy here.  Our weather is crazy lately…  We don’t know what to expect…. one day we are having a blizzard and the next its raining cats and dogs!  Well that’s Nova Scotia for you!

Joy…..

Hi All!

I love relaxing in my craft room on Friday nights.  Tony has been busy watching the hockey game, but not too busy to stroll in here to take a look around and make a sarcastic comment on how full my shelves are and how I can’t possibly fit anything else in here.  He mentioned a couple of Joy Clocks that I had on my shelf that I bought a while back with the intention to alter.  So to keep him quiet (er)  hehe!  I decided to dig out my gesso and get one done!

This was a totally easy project and I got the chance to use my new Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paint that Kim ordered in for me from the Cutting Garden.  I really love how this clock turned out and I doubt I will be able to part with it.  I might take it into work because my new office is desperately in need of some more decorations.

Hero Arts – In the Garden…

Good Morning!

No one here in Nova Scotia is thinking about gardening right now.  We are getting ready for another blizzard starting tonight and it is going to be very cold!

I despise winter!

Anyway… I have a pretty card to share with you this morning…..

I picked up this sweet stamp at The Cutting Garden’s yard sale and  I am sure I only paid about $2.00 for it!  I am off to work again today and I have a feeling it’s going to be a long one.  I stayed up too late last night tidying my craft room as it looked like a bomb went off in it!  It is all tidy again now and waiting for me to come home from work tonight to begin messing it up again! LOL!

Thinking of you….

Good Morning!  I have another quick little post for you this morning.  I don’t have as much time as I used to in the mornings because I leave for work earlier now.  Last night I had a nice relaxing evening in my craft room and I managed to make a cute little set of Thinking of you cards using my On The Grow stamp set and my water color paints.  These little cards measure 3 1/4 x 6″.  They are very clean and simple cards and are really quick to make.

Masculine Cards….

Good Morning!

I have a very quick post for you this morning and I am busy getting ready for work.  I have prepared a nice little Masculine card class to teach at The Cutting Garden next month.  I always love to try to make Masculine cards because I always find them quite difficult and when I manage to make some that turn out well, I feel like I have really accomplished something.

I used the Technique Tuesday stamp set called All Aboard.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I just had to have it!

Another Valentine….

Good Evening!

I have another sweet little Valentine card to share with you tonight.  I think this one is my new favorite….

I really like the subtle white heat embossed X’s and O’s and little hearts.

I added some pretty red glitter paper under the white hearts to bling them up.  Again this is a very simple design but I like how elegant they turned out.

Valentine….

Hey there!

I’ve been busy making a little stash of Valentine’s day cards….

I had so much fun using my stencils to make my canvas art, I thought I would start using them on my cards as well!  I have to say, Modeling Paste is truly one of my favorite things to use!  I love the pretty designs they make on my projects.

These turned out to be very simple but elegant cards!  The heart punch is by Martha Stewart.  It is one of the layering punches and I used a smaller heart punch to punch out the center of the top heart.  They were quick, easy and fun to put together!

Canvas Art….

Happy New Year!

Today is the last day of my vacation and of course, I have left a ton of stuff that I need to get done to the last minute LOL!  I am busy today getting my self ready to begin my new job tomorrow.  It is going to be difficult at first as I am sure I will feel a bit home sick.  I love all my co-workers and I am really going to miss seeing them every day but change is GOOD!

The walls in my new office are totally bare!  It actually echo’s in there!  Over the Christmas holidays I went shopping to find some paintings to put up but as I was shopping I realized how crazy it would be for me to actually buy pictures… I have so much crafty stuff at home, why not make my own????

I made 6 canvas’… have a peek…

It was so easy!  Once I got one of them done, the rest just flowed and I had all 6 done in one day!  Modeling Paste…. LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff!  I have a nice little selection on stencils so I was able to make each one different.

I hope these inspire you to have a go at creating your own!
