Mother’s Day Gift Set…

14 Mar

Good Morning!

It has been ages since I have made a blog post!  I took a little break but I am back crafting up a storm!  I have loads of things to share with you and I will be posting regularly again 🙂

Gift Set 001I put together this pretty little gift set a couple of weeks ago.  I love how feminine it is.

Gift Set 002

The box can hold treats or possibly some jewelery.

Gift Set 003I decorated it with some purchased already made flowers as well as the big white flower that I made using my Cameo.  The butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart and I picked up the Punch Around the Page set as well as this single butterfly from The Cutting Garden.

Gift Set 004I decorated a white gift bag to match the set for the box to go in.  I love hand made gifts, they truly are the best gifts to receive because the recipient knows how much effort you put into gifts like this.

I hope what I have shared with you today inspires you to create something beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by!

How did I manage to forget this?

12 May

Good Evening!  I am just realizing that I forgot to post the card that I made for the May Sketch Challenge for The Cutting Garden.  Each month the Ladybugs throw out a sketch challenge for people to participate in and the winner gets a little prize.  The Bugs provide some inspiration to get everyone’s crafty juices flowing and this was the inspiration I came up with….

May Card SketchI totally forgot to post this card as I put it away to give to my Mother for Mother’s day!

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!  I have had a relaxing day today after a brutal week of very long meetings.  My days started before 8am and I didn’t get home at night until after 11pm.  I am heading to bed early tonight to try to recoup and get ready for work tomorrow.

Have a nice evening!

Peony…

21 Apr

Good Morning!  I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  I’ve had a busy weekend as usual but I managed to get some crafty time in this morning….

Peony 001I made these quick little cards this morning while I was sipping my coffee.  What do you think of the beautiful Peony die?  Amazing huh?  I made these flowers using the Memory Box Lovely Peony Outline and Lovely Peony Background dies Kim has in stock at The Cutting Garden.  I used the Martha Stewart Fans and Flourishes deep edge border punch that Kim is also stocking at the moment.  I bought this punch a couple of months ago and I have to say, I have used it dozens of times and this punch is perfect for cutting a 2.5 inch strip and punching on either side to make this perfect looking trellis.  It adds a lovely elegant touch to cards.

Now to clean up the mess I made in my craft room this morning!  Have a great day!!

Revisiting some old friends…

2 Mar

Good Morning!  Happy Saturday to you all!

Wow am I glad last week is finally over!  It was a busy one for me at work… so much happening!  But now it’s the weekend and I get to relax and do what ever I want to finally!  I was so excited to start my weekend I actually woke up at 5:30 am and came downstairs to my craft room with my nice fresh cup of coffee to sit, relax and catch up on all the things I have missed on Pintrest.  Yes!  I am so addicted to Pintrest!! LOL!!

I have been thinking a lot this week about what I can come up with for Easter cards and it dawned on me last night that I could just revisit and revise some of my old favorites!  These two cards I am about to post, I made quite a while ago and I have kept them in my stash because I really wanted to make them again.  The are definitely two of my favorite cards…

Post 1Post 2I think these could easily be made into lovely easter cards don’t you think?  I think I will get to work on making some variations of these this weekend.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Butterfly Note Cards….

12 Jun

Good Morning Blog Friends,  My husband has done it again!  He made me this fantastic new butterfly die cut….

Behind the top paper butterfly is a lovely die cut from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Twisted Metal Tags and Accents I picked up from The Cutting Garden.   Here is a look at the whole card…

These were so much fun to put together, I thought I would try another set using different paper….

This time I used a pretty glittery butterfly for the center using a Martha Stewart punch all over the page punch I borrowed from my friend Carol.

These would make great gift tags but fit into a regular size envelope and could be given as a card on their own.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Doily…..

13 May

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone!!!! Wow it has been a busy weekend for me, Today I am doing some light chores (not much of course!)  My family is in charge of cooking tonight, Barbecued Steak!  Yum!  I am being spoiled for mother’s day and I am going to enjoy every minute of it!! LOL!!!

I am spending most of my day relaxing and crafting today!  I decided to pull out one of my favorite stamps, thanks so much to Kim from The Cutting Garden for letting me kidnap her stamp until mine arrives!  It makes such lovely, elegant cards 🙂

It is especially beautiful when you use heat embossing!  For this project I chose Recollections Lilac for the embossing powder. Here’s a look at the whole card….

And for the record Sue… yes!  You know who You are!!! Not a Hint of Pink! 😛  Brace yourself for the next one tho! LOL!!!

Enjoy your day!  It is a truly glorious day here in Halifax, my windows are wide open and I am enjoying some very pleasant weather and lovely fresh air!

Prima Goodness….

1 May

My Crafting Mojo has been on vacation lately.  I haven’t been able to create anything that remotely sparked my interest in days!  That was until the lovely and talented Lauren gave me a kick in the butt in this weeks Mix It Up Challenge and challenged us to use flowers!!! She is even allowing us to break out our most precious flower packages and use them on a project!!!  Now that was just SCREAMING my name!!!  Please note…. although tempted, I was not able to break out the amazing hand made flowers Lauren sent me for Christmas but I managed to use some Prima’s I have been hoarding! LOL!!!

Thanks Lauren!!!! *HUGS*

Say it with me now…. Ahhhhhhhhh *happy sigh*  LOL!!!

Behind that lovely Prima goodness is the lovely Memory Box Quinn Flourish!  🙂  Here’s a look at the whole card….

So this card is all me… everything I love.  Everything! 🙂  I have been playing with my style and it really hasn’t been working for me so this is it!  LOL!!!  I picked up this lovely Memory Box Quinn Flourish Die from The Cutting Garden and Kim is expecting a new shipment in any day!!!

Another quick post, I have a busy day ahead of me today!  I am still enjoying this dress form stamp….

I thought I would whip up some pretty all occasion feminine cards and I just couldn’t resist pulling out this beautiful Anna Griffin paper that I have been hoarding.  This stamp set is by My Minds Eye – Lost & Found two.  Love It!

Beautiful U….

20 Apr

The stamp set I used for these cards is by My Mind’s Eye…. I absolutely LOVE their unique papers and stamp sets.  Kim stocks them at The Cutting Garden and I grabbed them as soon as I laid eyes on them!

The paper is called French Kiss and I am sticking to my rule of using up the entire sheet of paper once I have cut into it.  Did I mention that I love this stamp???? LOL!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
