Thinking of you….

14 Jan

Thinking of you 001Good Morning!  I have another quick little post for you this morning.  I don’t have as much time as I used to in the mornings because I leave for work earlier now.  Last night I had a nice relaxing evening in my craft room and I managed to make a cute little set of Thinking of you cards using my On The Grow stamp set and my water color paints.  These little cards measure 3 1/4 x 6″.  They are very clean and simple cards and are really quick to make.

I’m off to hit the shower!  Have a great day!

Butterfly Note Cards….

12 Jun

Good Morning Blog Friends,  My husband has done it again!  He made me this fantastic new butterfly die cut….

Behind the top paper butterfly is a lovely die cut from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Twisted Metal Tags and Accents I picked up from The Cutting Garden.   Here is a look at the whole card…

These were so much fun to put together, I thought I would try another set using different paper….

This time I used a pretty glittery butterfly for the center using a Martha Stewart punch all over the page punch I borrowed from my friend Carol.

These would make great gift tags but fit into a regular size envelope and could be given as a card on their own.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Get Well….

23 May

Hey there blog friends….

It feels like I haven’t posted in ages but actually it has only been a couple of days.  I have been doing some crafting but haven’t gotten around to uploading them to my blog so I thought I should get on the ball and get it done!  Check out this sweet little Martha Stewart Butterfly punch I picked up at The Cutting Garden!   Here’s a quick get well card that I made for a co-worker….I have been having a bit of a difficult couple of weeks, dealing with some health issues in my family so I have been kind of hiding on the side lines, crafting and trying to keep myself busy.  I had a massive house cleaning urge this past weekend and went crazy with some spring cleaning!  WHEW! Am I Glad that is over! LOL!!!

I have some more pics of some cards that I have made before but have made some subtle differences to them so stay tuned!  I will probably be posting again tonight!

Prima Goodness….

My Crafting Mojo has been on vacation lately.  I haven’t been able to create anything that remotely sparked my interest in days!  That was until the lovely and talented Lauren gave me a kick in the butt in this weeks Mix It Up Challenge and challenged us to use flowers!!! She is even allowing us to break out our most precious flower packages and use them on a project!!!  Now that was just SCREAMING my name!!!  Please note…. although tempted, I was not able to break out the amazing hand made flowers Lauren sent me for Christmas but I managed to use some Prima’s I have been hoarding! LOL!!!

Thanks Lauren!!!! *HUGS*

Get Well….

17 Mar

This is another quick post as I have to get ready to head over to The Cutting Garden to help out.  We are expecting it to be really busy at the store today because there is a huge yard sale of crafting supplies going on this weekend!

Here is another card that I wanted to share with you…

I love pink and brown together.  I bought the Labels twenty spellbinders die set from The Cutting Garden a while ago and spent some time in the last couple weeks playing with it.  This is one of the cards I made with it.  I love this little butterfly stamp that I scored at Michaels in the $1.50 bin, I used white embossing powder and fussy cut it out and added some rolled flowers.  A very simple card to put together and the layout is very cute.

I am totally excited right now…. My friend Florence reminded me this morning that tomorrow is my Blog Birthday!!!  I had totally forgotten about this!  Tomorrow marks one year of posting my crafty fun on this blog!  Wow did that time go by quickly!!! 😀  I love sharing my creations with you all, everyone is so kind and supportive and I thank you all for that! 😀

Hop on over to Florence’s blog to see all her wonderful creations.  Florence is a true artist in my eyes, she comes up with the most amazing projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Mix It Up Challenge….

4 Feb

Hi Blog Friends!  I have made this card for two reasons…. A lovely friend is recovering from surgery and I wanted to send her an extra special card to let her know that I am thinking of her and I hope she has a speedy recovery.  She is the mother of a close SCS friend of mine and I truly cherish the friendship’s I have made from SplitCoast as well as those of you who visit my blog regularly. Also, our dear Kathy is hosting the Mix It Up Challenge this week…. She has challenged us to make a Monochromatic creation and I have been struggling with this all week! LOL!!! I am surprised at how well this has turned out!  I have to say that I totally love this card.  In real life it is so whimsy and pretty!  I am starting a “For Sale” section on my blog and this is the cards that I am posting for sale.   But this first very special one is going in the mail on Monday!  I will also be offering the card kits for sale for anyone who wants to make the card for themselves and just purchase the supplies for it. Flip me an email at lisatony@hfx.andara.com if this is something that interests you.  The finished card will be $5.00 and the card kit will be $3.00 plus postage.  Here’s a look at the whole card…

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Lisa 🙂

Thinking of you… Queen Boo!!!

30 Dec

I love the Queen for the Day challenge on SplitCoast….  Our new queen is Jen!!! Her SCS name is Boo and wow is her gallery fantastic!  Here is Jen’s card that I chose to CASE…  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2028392?&cat=500&ppuser=178156

Now here’s what I came up with….

I’ve really been trying my hand at the Clean and Simple cards.  This one turned out pretty well I think 🙂  Here’s a look at the whole card…

The stamp set I used is by Stampendous – Orchid Greetings and I heat embossed the flower image using Recollections Lilac embossing powder.  Too Easy!

Have a great day!

Lisa 🙂

Moxie Fab World Trigger Tuesday….

13 Oct

Check out this Beautiful Dress!!!

How’s that for some awesome inspiration?  The colors are so fab!  The minute I saw this dress I just knew I had the perfect design paper to create with!  The Paper Studio’s Turquoise Gothic Stripe.   Over at Moxie Fab World it’s Tuesday Trigger time again and I decided to play along.  Here is the link to the current challenge so you can play along:  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/10/tuesday-trigger-dress-finesse.html  Check out what I came up with…

The stamp set I used is the Verve – Kind Words set.  I have been using this set a lot lately,  it is such a great set of stamps!

I created the background border using the Martha Stewart Double Arches Punch Around the Page punch set.  This makes such a fancy elegant background.  Here’s a closer look at how I stamped directly on the design paper with the solid flower found in the stamp set and then added some stickles over it to give it some shimmer:

I used my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents to give it some fancy details.

Hope you like it!

Lisa 🙂
